The west side of the Irish Hunger Memorial in Battery Park City, Manhattan.
On top of the memorial is a recreated Irish country side using materials gathered from the west coast of Ireland. On the sides are lighted bands inscribed with quotations related to hunger in general, and specifically in Ireland.

The next day, May 14th advocates returned to speak to the media after Governor Brown's press conference on the revised budget.
