hi this is my another account
www.flickr.com/photos/-fuckest/
ADD ME PLEASE BECAUSE i reached my limit of photos in THIS ACCOUNT
shot for an assignment based photo blog called this is a photo blog (dot com). this month was "film as inspiration" so i chose "the hunger" which uses a lot of mini blinds and really shadowy light. i originally wanted to use a really cold blue palette but when i saw the warm version of this photo, i ended up liking it much more and it started reminding me of blade runner as well.
the quality isn't what i am used to as this was shot on the second level and the light source was a gas station a block away so it was super weak light and i had to shoot at 2 seconds at iso 1600 and so there is bad digital grain and motion blur on top of it but to recreate that light i would have needed to get on the roof of the grocery store across the way which i may end up doing since i like this and want a better quality version to use for my book but this will do for now.
Thankful for the LOVE from my friends & family and most of all that my Dad is still with us this Canadian Thanksgiving holiday.
"When Christ said that man does not live by bread alone, he spoke of a hunger. This hunger was not the hunger of the body. It was not the hunger for bread. He spoke of a hunger that begins deep down in the very depths of our being. He spoke of a need as vital as breath. He spoke of our hunger for love.
Love is something you and I must have. We must have it because our spirit feeds upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint. Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look out confidently at the world...
But with love, we are creative. With it, we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone, we are able to sacrifice for others"
Chief Dan George
I heard this long before I saw it .. The frog was squealing more than croaking ... The ambitious snake had pretty much swallowed one of the frogs legs . I watched the struggle for awhile before I took this shot . When I tried to get even closer the snake abruptly let go his hold and the frog hopped away happy I'm sure as the snake slithered off mad and hungry . Nature at it's finest .
The subject of this Picture of the Week, a spiral galaxy named NGC 1589, was once the scene of a violent bout of cosmic hunger pangs; as astronomers looked on, a poor, hapless star was torn apart and devoured by the ravenous supermassive black hole at the centre of the galaxy.

Mattel’s Hunger Game Katniss comes with uncured glue inside the head. It is a waxy, sticky substance that causes the hair to look greasy when the original style is taken out of the braid. No amount of sudsing will remove the sticky film. The only solution is to reroot the head. Note: This doll was rerooted twice because even though a thorough cleaning was performed the glue and stickiness is so pervasive the head required a second thorough cleaning.

"This Saturday, May 12, US letter carriers pick up donations of food that people have set out by their mailboxes. These donations are brought back to the Post Office and loaded unto trucks provided by local food pantries."
"Sixteen percent of all Americans are at risk of hunger—uncertain where their next meal may be coming from. That includes 1 in 5 children under the age of 18, plus 4 million seniors who are forced every day to choose between paying a utility bill and buying food."
(nalc.org)
Be sure to set out your non-perishable food-including pet food-near your mailbox so letter carriers like my hubby can help feed the hungry!
*I'd love to see my Flickr friends post images of food to remind others of the NALC Food Drive*
Given my circumstances, I guess it doesn't matter what type of wasp nest it is. I'm wounded and trapped. Darkness has given me a brief reprieve, but by the time the sun rises, the Careers will have formulated a plan to kill me. There's no way they could do otherwise after I've made them look so stupid. The nest may be the sole option I have left. If I can drop it down on them, I may be able to escape. But I'll risk my life in the process.

I am also on holiday break so hopefully I can create some new stuff with the time I have.
