Fotoausstellung 2021 - Thema: 'Oberflächlickeit unserer Gesellschaft'
Die Silhouette der leeren Gabel beschreibt eine vermeintliche Leere, die uns förmlich durch die Übersättigung des Wohlstands der westlichen Welt verhungern lässt, während wir alles haben und doch unaufhörlich danach suchen, endlich satt zu werden.
Der Rauch beschreibt den wahren Hunger der Welt; derer, die nichts haben, nicht mal den Inhalt dieser einen Gabel.
The silhouette of the empty fork describes a supposed emptiness that literally makes us starve through the oversaturation of the affluence of the western world, while we have everything and yet incessantly seek to finally become full.
The smoke describes the true hunger of the world; of those who have nothing, not even the contents of this one fork.

Hunger is the mother of invention. Recently, several pigeons have been flying into the cornelian cherry to get the food they are hungry for, often by contorting themselves.
when you take photos of children you can't just expect them to stand and do what you want them to do. No. They will do what they want to do. And this is beautiful and challenging
. At first I didn't like the fact that he was eating something when I was taking photo of him but now i think it makes this portrait more interesting and more sincere.

My creativity has been non existent and I just took a break for a while. I just needed to find new inspiration. This photos is loosely based on Rue's death in The Hunger Games. The vibrant greens and the dark luminous mood reflects the serenity of her death.

The subject of this Picture of the Week, a spiral galaxy named NGC 1589, was once the scene of a violent bout of cosmic hunger pangs; as astronomers looked on, a poor, hapless star was torn apart and devoured by the ravenous supermassive black hole at the centre of the galaxy.
The astronomers are now using the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope to test this interpretation. Hubble has observed such events before so the scientists are confident that Hubble will be able to provide smoking gun evidence in the form of stellar debris that was ejected during the disruption event.

Anna's hummingbird chick in our back yard is really hoping mom comes back with some food soon. We expect them to leave the nest within the next week. They are growing up super fast. You can kind of see the little wings developing and growing feathers. I pasted a shot in the comments from exactly one week before this shot was taken just for a comparison.

What Caused the Irish Potato Famine?
The Memorial represents a rural Irish landscape with an abandoned stone cottage, stone walls, fallow potato fields and the flora on the north Connacht wetlands. It is both a metaphor for the Great Irish Famine and a reminder that hunger today is often the result of lack of access to land.
The Irish Hunger Memorial, designed by artist Brian Tolle, contains stones from each of Ireland’s 32 counties.
