City College staff, from all departments, joined Farmshare of America and Strike Out Hunger Food Drive in Alachua County to make a difference this holiday season. Over 800 families received an estimated 20 pounds of perishable and non-perishable food items. Great Job!!! there is strange, lighting like feeling in your head and then you feel like your eyes are pulled inward and when you feel the pressure of wind against you on a normal day and when you feel like falling down and there is a pain sort of feeling from the left side of your stomach, you call it hunger.

tonight while I was running, I was thinking about all the terrible places in the world there are to live, where hunger lurks around every corner, and violence stands in every doorway.
I was messing around trying to come up with a subject to shoot, and I pulled out this box of pasta, which I often resort to when I can't think of anything to shoot, and it brought back my thoughts from my run. It got me thinking about how many calories this simple box represents, how much wealth, and how much I can take it for granted. Obesity is a problem of wealthy nations. This box has enough calories to feed a small family, and I can afford to play with it.

A bonnet macaque hogging a jackfruit on a rainy day at Kudremukha National park. I would hog if I were a monkey, I do hog in memory of my ancestors :). A monkey which knows not when & where it's next meal would come from or who else would claim stake at the fruit, has no option but to hog.
Sharing information by Sandeep Somasekharan - the macaque is storing the fruit under it's chin either to feed it's offspring or to eat at leisure. Thanks Sandy :).
This image has it's shortcomings- mainly the distracting leaves - which kept me from uploading this picture for a long time. But eventually, the pure emotion of hunger,hogging & the glint in the eyes of the macaque made me share this picture :). Not to forget the cut open jackfruit :).
