Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled
A Good Friday art project. I really enjoyed the creation of it, and left it on an Ealing park bench with a label inviting someone to take it home. I watched for a while. Two Asian guys inspected it and left it. Later four young people were playing near the bench. A girl kicked the plant on the floor. A boy put the plant back in the pot and put it back on the bench. She kicked it off again, so he went and put it against a nearby tree. The label had disappeared by now, so who knows what will happen...
The letters and the white part of the flag are taken from the Kairos Palestine document in Arabic and English, a call from Palestinian Christians to the world to stand by them against injustice and apartheid and for peace.

Hunger and malnutrition in India is a major concern. According to statistics, India is home to 24% of world’s malnourished population. Children get most affected by this as it hampers their mental and physical growth. NGOs in India work with the help of monetary donations and try to provide every child with proper food so that he/she can have a well nourished childhood.https://bit.ly/2OvEfsA

Even though there is enough food for everyone in the world, the problem is that people who are starving are trapped in poverty. 25,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes.

Campus Ministry at the University of Saint Mary hosted a Hunger Awareness event on April 9, 2014, wrapping up an entire week of hunger awareness activities.
Members of the Hunger Awareness Team discussed food security and world hunger statistics, and attendees drew slips of paper to determine what and how they would eat.
Two attendees were served a steak dinner at a finely set table and a handful of others ate pizza at smaller tables. The majority, though, ate rice and beans without utensils, while seated on tarps on the floor. This division of foods and eating situations was to represent the percentage of the world population with various levels of food security.
After eating, attendees passed around a microphone and discussed their feelings about the event and the lot that they drew.

As part of the exhibition BEING , Storefront presented DISRUPT: Croquembouches, an installation-banquet on the connections and connotations between Food and Architecture. The event follow a day-long installation by Savinien Carcostea, which included an 9-foot tall cone of Croquembouches, a traditional French dessert, that was on display at Storefront's gallery throughout the day and offered to visitors in the evening.
7,000 Croquembouches were available for consumption.

This village was hit the hardest. Many people lost not only their homes, but the lives of loved ones.
Your body aches for more
Why are you so surprised
When you're born with the hunger
The hunger never dies

Hunger is a sensation that motivates the consumption of food.
The sensation of hunger typically manifests after only a few hours without eating and is generally considered to be unpleasant.
Children love pancakes, sweet food, cakes, but also Red cabbage (BRAINFOOD?) and seafood: ALWAYS, yum.
Have a beautiful day and thank you for your comments, M, (*_*)

The Irish Hunger Memorial, designed collaboratively by artist Brian Tolle, landscape architect Gail Wittwer-Laird, and architecture firm 1100 Architect, is located on a 0.5-acre (0.20 ha) site at the corner of Vesey Street and North End Avenue in the Battery Park City neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, and is dedicated to raising awareness of the Great Irish Famine. Referred to by the Irish as An Gorta Mor in Irish Gaelic or "The Great Hunger" in English, the Famine killed over a million people in Ireland between 1845 and 1852. Construction of the memorial began in March 2001, and despite the September 11 attacks on the nearby World Trade Center, which also affected surrounding areas, the memorial was completed and dedicated on July 16, 2002.
The memorial is a uniquely landscaped plot, which utilizes stones, soil, and native vegetation brought in from the western coast of Ireland and contains stones from all of the different counties of Ireland.
The memorial also incorporates an authentic rebuilt Irish cottage of the 19th century. The cottage at the memorial is from Carradoogan in the parish of Attymass in County Mayo. The cottage belonged to the Slack family but was deserted in the 1960s. The Slack family donated the cottage to the memorial in "memory of all the Slack family members of previous generations who emigrated to America and fared well there."
Brian Tolle also designed the site-specific sculpture "Outfall, 2015" along the Bow River in Calgary, Alberta — an inverted, computer-generated scale-model of Mount Peechee — representing the glacial origins of the Bow River — which acts as a functional retention pond to hold excess water during heavy rainstorms. ©Wikipedia
When I hear the word hunger, I immediately think of the human body. The stomach is the main component to digest food, and everyone has different reactions. Whether your weight fluctuates up and down or stays the same, everyone has different body types and different thoughts of their body image. I decided to take multiple photos of my stomach and manipulate them to illustrate this image.
