Monday night Sandburg Study Abroad hosted a Hunger Banquet to raise funds in support of our students traveling internationally this upcoming spring. The event was an eye-opening, interactive experience about the poverty levels and social classes in China.
There's all kinds of
hunger in the World.
Hunger is,
but hunger is not merely
a want of food.
I've gone weeks
without eating
but never did I
want to stare at food
that I could not have.
There's all kinds of hunger
in the world. Only some of it,
is a desire for food, from a lack of eating.
Man was made with needs.
Needy.
When adam was tested in the Garden of Eden, all of his
needs were met. He lacked nothing.
And yet he failed.
When Christ was tested in the desert, He wasn't merely hungry.
He was alone.
There's all kinds of hunger
in the World.
Some people may hunger for comfort.
For company.
For someone who understands them.
To just not be alone.
When Jesus was hungry in the desert and he was tested, He said to Satan, man shall not live by bread alone.
There's all kinds of hunger in the World. Only some of it, is from a lack of eating.
Man has all kinds of needs, that can't be met by bread alone.

OK so it's been done before. Not by me though so, why not? (lol damn i'm fugly.)
I'm starting to use my G10 more, so much i might even sell of my 5D. I'm highly considering doing just that. It's been in the dry cabi for ages, i just took it out last night, i forget how heavy it is compared to the G10. I guess I'll lay on it for a few more days before i actually make a decision. meh.

Walmart Associates on The Plaza in New York City spread the word about fighting hunger and encourage people to get involved on Facebook.
A Haitian orphan begging for food in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Haiti is full of orphans. Many parents leave their babies on the street, mainly because they have no food and no sources to maintain large families which they have. The overall situation on Haiti gets worse every year and the extreme, hardly imaginable poverty hits more and more people. The Haitian economics is paralysed, there is no infrastructure, no food supplies, the population suffer from hunger, social and living conditions in Haitian slums (e.g. Cité Soleil) are a human tragedy. The rage grows and the tension continues with undiminished strength.
