The Pushkar Camel Fair is the annual five-day camel and livestock fair, held in the town of Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is one of the world's largest camel fairs from buying and selling. Camel owner live with their camels at fair site and making their food.

This is where I took at the morning market in Pineng, Malaysia.

Like a cancer the hunger for rock is eating up tons of gravel. Most of what's mined here will be mixed with water and cement to make concrete.

A day this little village, one of the most beautiful in Avellino countryside, will be swallowed by the front end loaders.

Trying to capture the experience of the extraordinary 'Hunger', in particular the monologue at the center of the film.

If you haven't seen it, it's an astonishing film following the film six weeks of Bobby Sands life, as played by Michael Fassbender and directed by Steve McQueen. Written by Edna Walsh and Steve McQueen.

The theme this week was hunger.

I researched hunger to get some ideas and noticed that the main type of image was starvation in 3rd world countries, although i think this is very important i wanted to show something that is perhaps more of an issue in the 'world' i live. Hunger means something different to everyone and i wanted to get across another perspective from which hunger can be an awful and painful thing, this doesnt show the pysical hunger of a 3rd world country but the mental side of it. I have used Photoshop to change the image to B&W and also show the food in colour to make it more obvious, i have played around with this, with and without the colour i felt it blended in too much without it.

The main thing for me at the moment is to learn how to use Photoshop so i learnt a new skill all by myself in showing both the colour and black and white:-)

Triple Falls in North Carolina's Transylvania County was used as one of the locations for the movie "Hunger Games"

we were on our way to catch the sunset and the moon tonight, and all the deer were out trying to find some food... poor criters, its been a long wnter for them too.

When the hunger is really great, very great.

Thank's to Marcello for the likeable irony

Imagine no need of opulence…

For the riches those we are…

It’s not hard to do…

No need for more, to make one poorer,

A feeling of a man for a man…

Imagine none of us…

Burning in the pain of hunger!!!

You, you may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one!!!

Imagine…

We saw a lot of Hunger Games fashion at our event.

To raise awareness and support for the Horn of Africa, Rebecca Drouin decided to shave her head. Through media awareness she asked people to donate to the Horn of Africa and committed to shaving her head if she reached her goal. Rebecca met her goal and has raised $1,380 for CARE Canada, 200,000 grains of rice through FreeRice and educated people about hunger abroad. Rebecca was inspired by the Masai tribe from the Masai Mara in Kenya who use head shaving as a symbol of change and new beginnings. Photo credit: Jesse James Photography
