The penultimate gowns were these Art Deco Hunger games gowns, one in gold and one in red, coming complete with mask. So ideal for a masquerade ball! The satin texture on these is breathtaking! The models have styled these perfectly! Well done ladies!

Ok well my daughter drove me nuts to read this book. I did, it was very good. No I have no idea where, how, or why they go onto a book two and DON'T TELL ME!
My costume is a replica of the book cover of "The Hunger Games." It's a big black box with arm and head holes cut out. What I first did was get a box and spray paint it black. I then cut out arm holes and a head hole. Now it was time for decorating. I printed out pictures from the internet and glued them onto the box (The Hunger Games logo, mockingjay symbol, and Suzanne Collins.) After that, I outlined the logos in silver and red. Then, I added the silver design from the cover that surounds the mockingjay pin and goes through The Hunger Games logo. Next, I cut out a piece of paper and wrote "Soon to be a major motion picture" and glued it to the front of the box. The front was completed, now I had to do the back. I printed out a summary and glued it to the back. I also added a "In the production of a major motion picture" section and added pictures from the movie. Friends I have been so very busy at work and home, hardly get much time to upload photos.
This shot was taken during my recent trip to Jaipaiguri, India .
I was walking in the muddy paddy fields , with my heavy camera bag and sandle. While crossing a small creek, my feet got stuck in the water and to save the camera I jumped , but couldn't. My sandle got stuck in the muddy water.
These 3 kids were working in the nearby rice field , and seeing my condition, they ran towards me for help. One took my bag , one pulled me up and the other went in the muddy water and fetched my sandle.....In return all they requested is a photo.....
Along along during my school years I have been in close proximity with Mother Teresa, she used to come to our school and preach us.....for some reason this incident reminded me of her and her words...
In the eve of children day , dedicate this photo to all kids who are working to save their families.

Made with iPhone, a flashlight, black poster board, and my toy green monster. Sound effects played live from a Godzilla YouTube video while recording the shadow action. I made several attempts trying to time the shadow movement with the sound. A distortion sound effect was added in iMovie as well as color effects.

We decided to do a tribute poster to the Movie!

This composite is made COMPLETELY from scratch!
We didn't even have a Bow and Arrow.
I made them from a Vacuum Cleaner attachment and an Ikea lamp accessory!

We used Photoshop CS6 for the editing.
It was NOT very stable. We had several tool issues and crashes. I have made several tutorials in the past and many more composites using CS5, so I know there are just a lot of bugs in the BETA of CS6.
We are compiling a list for Adobe. Some are pretty bad.
3D space kept crashing and transforming of large objects would take forever, or simply crash completely.
The layout and new features are gorgeous! I really do hope they clean it up as we think CS6 is going to be the newest, hottest thing!

The fortress of Terezín was constructed between the years 1780 and 1790 by the orders of the Austrian emperor Joseph II in the north-west region of Bohemia. It was designed to be a component of a projected but never fully realized fort system of the monarchy, another piece being the fort of Josefov. Terezín took its name from the mother of the emperor, Maria Theresa of Austria who reigned as empress of Austria in her own right from 1740–1780. By the end of the 18th century, the facility was obsolete as a fort; in the 19th century, the fort was used to accommodate military and political prisoners.
From 1914 till 1918 it housed one of its most famous prisoners: Gavrilo Princip. Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife on June 28, 1914, which led to the outbreak of the First World War. Princip died in cell number 1 from tuberculosis on April 28, 1918.
On June 10, 1940, the Gestapo took control of Terezín and set up the prison in the Small Fortress (kleine Festung), see below. By November 24, 1941, the Main Fortress (große Festung, i.e. the walled town of Theresienstadt) was turned into a ghetto. To outsiders, it was presented by the Nazis as a model Jewish settlement, but in reality it was a concentration camp 'where over 33 000 inmates died as a result of hunger, sickness, or the sadistic treatment meted out by their captors'. Theresienstadt was also used as a transit camp for European Jews en route to Auschwitz. 'Although some survivors claim the population reached 75,000, official records place the highest figure on September 18, 1942, at 58,491 in Kasernes (barracks) designed to accommodate 7000 combat troups.

The juvenile Cooper's Hawk, also known as Accipiter cooperii hunted a pigeon and was eating his kill in my side yard beneath a tree against my house. He devoured the entire bird quickly.
This juvenile allowed me to lay on the ground and photograph him from 5 feet away. At times, I thought he may charge at me, but he continued until the only thing was left was feathers and bone.

In Canada, hunger is largely a hidden problem. Many Canadians are simply not aware that large numbers of children, women and men in this country often go to bed hungry. Hunger is caused by low-income. While anyone is at risk of food insecurity at some point in their lives, certain groups are particularly vulnerable. 53.5% of food bank clients in Canada receive welfare as welfare rates in Canada fall below the poverty line and do not ensure food security.

I made this for the library as part of our grand prize Hunger Games raffle basket. I'm quite happy with how it turned out and will probably make another for myself!
Like a cancer the hunger for rock is eating up tons of gravel. Most of what's mined here will be mixed with water and cement to make concrete.
A day this little village, one of the most beautiful in Avellino countryside, will be swallowed by the front end loaders.
