Erfolgslauf geht weiter: Admira gewinnt gegen den WAC! Die Admira hat im Abstiegskampf der tipp3-Bundesliga powered by T-Mobile am Samstagabend, 30. November 2013 neuerlich Boden gut gemacht! Die Admira-Mannschaft feierte einen 3:0-Heimsieg über den WAC und liegt damit nur noch drei Punkte hinter dem Vorletzten Wacker Innsbruck, der am Sonntag bei Rapid antritt. Auf die achtplatzierten Wolfsberger fehlen lediglich fünf Zähler. Die Treffer für die Admira erzielten Wilfried Domoraud (25., 50.) und Rene Schicker (55.). Dadurch kassierte WAC-Coach Kühbauer bei der Rückkehr an seine alte Wirkungsstätte eine bittere Niederlage, sein Club zog im sechsten Bundesliga-Duell mit der Admira erstmals den Kürzeren.
Beide Teams starteten vor knapp 2.000 Zuschauern engagiert in die Partie, die erste Chance verzeichneten die Gastgeber in der 3. Minute durch einen von Dobnik parierten Weber-Weitschuss. Sieben Minuten später hatte Topcagic das 1:0 für den WAC auf dem Fuß, scheiterte aber nach Querpass von Kerhe aus wenigen Metern am Admira-Schlussmann Kuttin.
Es folgten 15 Minuten Ereignislosigkeit ehe Domoraud zum ersten Mal zuschlug. Der Franzose versenkte einen Direktschuss von der Strafraumgrenze via Innenstange im langen Eck (25.). Praktisch im Gegenzug ließ Kerhe die große Chance auf den Ausgleich aus. Der Flügelspieler köpfelte eine Flanke von Suppan aus guter Position genau in die Arme von Kuttin.
Bald nach dem Seitenwechsel stellte Domoraud die Weichen endgültig auf Admira-Sieg. Der 25-Jährige wurde in der 50. Minute von Schwab freigespielt, bei seinem Schuss war Dobnik zwar noch mit den Fingerspitzen am Ball, konnte das zweite Gegentor jedoch nicht mehr verhindern. Vier Minuten danach hätte der WAC der Partie noch einmal eine Wende geben können, allerdings spitzelte Topcagic den Ball allein vor Kuttin knapp am Tor vorbei. Dies sollte sich schon wenige Sekunden später rächen: Die Gäste leisteten sich in der Defensive ein kollektives Nickerchen und Schwab spielte auf Schicker, der aus kurzer Distanz auf 3:0 stellte.
Damit war die Partie endgültig gelaufen. Die Admira verwaltete den Vorsprung ohne Mühe gegen einen Gegner, der keine echte Hoffnung mehr auf einen Punktgewinn erkennen ließ. Der WAC befindet sich nun nach zuletzt zwei Niederlagen in Folge wieder mitten im Abstiegskampf, die Admiraner jedoch holten aus den jüngsten fünf Runden zehn Punkte. Ohne den von der Bundesliga verordneten Abzug von acht Zählern wäre die Admira-Elf schon Tabellensiebenter.

Beijing. Catorce personas han fallecido, cinco están desaparecidas y medio millón han tenido que ser evacuadas en zonas de riesgo en el sureste de China debido al tifón Soudelor, el más potente del año en el planeta, que el fin de semana también causó seis muertos y cuatro desaparecidos en la vecina Taiwán.

Según la agencia oficial china Xinhua, la zona más afectada por las lluvias torrenciales ha sido la ciudad de Wenzhou, en la provincia costera suroriental de Zhejiang, donde un corrimiento de tierras causó doce muertos y cuatro desaparecidos en zonas rurales de los alrededores de la localidad.
Los otros dos decesos se registraron en la cercana localidad de Lishui, mientras que se calcula que el tifón ha afectado a más de dos millones de personas en Zhejiang y la vecina provincia de Fujian, las que más han sufrido las consecuencias de este fenómeno meteorológico.
Casi un millar de casas se han derrumbado en ambas provincias por inundaciones o corrimientos de tierra, que también han causado graves daños en 43.600 hectáreas de campos de cultivo y unas pérdidas que sólo en Zhejiang se valoran ya en unos 644 millones de dólares.

En algunas zonas de esa provincia se registraron el fin de semana precipitaciones de hasta 700 milímetros por metro cuadrado, las mayores contabilizadas en esas áreas en 120 años, y en varias localidades el nivel del agua en las calles se elevó hasta cuatro metros.
En la cercana Fujian, provincia vecina a la isla de Taiwán, el Soudelor obligó al cierre de tres aeropuertos provinciales, lo que afectó a 530 vuelos y dejó en tierra a miles de viajeros, mientras que unos tres millones de personas quedaron el sábado sin abastecimiento eléctrico, aunque fue restaurado el domingo.
El Soudelor, que según las previsiones meteorológicas será el tifón más potente este año en todo el mundo, llegó a las costas de Taiwán el viernes y a las de la vecina China el sábado, llevando fuertes vientos e intensas lluvias.
Las autoridades chinas iniciaron el domingo el dispositivo de emergencia de nivel 4 (el más bajo en la escala nacional), que implica el envío de ayuda económica y materiales de emergencia a las zonas más afectadas.

Monticello was the primary plantation of Thomas Jefferson, a Founding Father, author of the Declaration of Independence, and the third president of the United States. Jefferson began designing Monticello after inheriting land from his father at the age of 14, but its construction date is typically identified as 1772. Located in Albemarle County just outside Charlottesville in the Piedmont region, the plantation was originally 5,000 acres, with Jefferson using the forced labor of slaves for extensive cultivation of tobacco and mixed crops (later shifting from tobacco cultivation to wheat in response to changing markets). Due to its architectural and historic significance, the property was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1960. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. In 1987, Monticello and the nearby University of Virginia, also designed by Jefferson, were jointly designated as a single UNESCO World Heritage Site. The United States nickel has featured a depiction of Monticello on its reverse since 1938 (except for 2004-05).
Jefferson designed the main house using neoclassical design principles pioneered by Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio and reworking the design through much of his presidency to include design elements popular in late 18th-century Europe and integrating numerous ideas of his own. Situated on the summit of an 850 foot-high peak in the Southwest Mountains south of the Rivanna Gap, the name Monticello derives from Italian meaning "little mountain." Along a prominent lane adjacent to the house, Mulberry Row, the plantation came to include numerous outbuildings for specialized functions, e.g., a nailery; quarters for slaves who worked in the home; gardens for flowers, produce, and Jefferson's experiments in plant breeding—along with tobacco fields and mixed crops. Cabins for slaves who worked in the fields were farther from the mansion.
At Jefferson's direction, he was buried on the grounds, in an area now designated as the Monticello Cemetery. The cemetery is owned by the Monticello Association, a society of his descendants through Martha Wayles Skelton Jefferson. After Jefferson's death, his daughter Martha Jefferson Randolph, apart from the small family graveyard, sold Monticello for $7,500. In 1834, it was bought by Uriah P. Levy, a commodore in the U.S. Navy, for $2,500, who admired Jefferson and spent his own money to preserve the property. His nephew Jefferson Monroe Levy took over the property in 1879; he also invested considerable money to restore and preserve it. In 1923, Monroe Levy sold it for $500,000 to the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (TJF), which operates it as a house museum and educational institution.

LA NOCHE es una escultura en piedra de Montjuïc obra del escultor valenciano Vicenç Navarro (1888-1979) situada en el Paseo Joaquim Renart, dentro del Parque de la Ciutadella. Fue creada en 1929, y originalmente instalada en la Plaza Cataluña en 1929, hasta que una campaña moralista obligó a retirarla debido a la desnudez de la escultura. Fue enviada a un almacén municipal donde permaneció casi olvidada hasta que a raíz de la remodelación hecha en el Parque de la Ciutadella entre 1962 y 1964 decidieron instalarla en el actual emplazamiento.

The visit to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
The Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology on Beaumont Street, Oxford, England, is Britain's first public museum. Its first building was erected in 1678–1683 to house the cabinet of curiosities that Elias Ashmole gave to the University of Oxford in 1677. It is also the world's second university museum, after the establishment of the Kunstmuseum Basel in 1661 by the University of Basel.
The present building was built between 1841 and 1845. The museum reopened in 2009 after a major redevelopment, and in November 2011, new galleries focusing on Egypt and Nubia were unveiled. In May 2016, the museum also opened redisplayed galleries of 19th-century art.

The first beer barrels were filled by HBH “Juozo" beer brewery on 1st of May, 1995, in small village Žibininkai. A bar with three tables, containing only 18 people, was equipped near brewery for beer lovers. Thus, five members of Matulevičiai family, i.e., Rada, Juozas, Aida, Laura and Matas, succeeded to do everything: to brew beer, to prepare tasty food, to service the visitors and to chat with them. Les chantiers s'activent dans toute la France pour "gagner la bataille des communications routières". Mais outre la pénurie de main d’œuvre, il faut faire face au manque de matériaux (béton, métal) et donc déployer des trésors d'imagination pour reconstruire les ponts détruits. Si le savoir faire des tailleurs de pierre est exploité, le plus spectaculaire est le relevage des ponts, comme le pont de Galliéni à Lyon, où 7 à 800 tonnes d'acier sont sorti de l'eau avec des moyens de l'époque. En avril 1945, il reste 5 700 ponts à reconstruire soit 200 000 tonnes d'acier, 600 000 tonnes de ciment, 250 000 m3 de bois, 10 millions de journées d'ouvrier, prix de l'effort de reconstruction.

When we talk of the character of the neighborhoods of New York City, what are we referring to? If the object of distinction is an urban architectural landscape, what exactly are the constituent elements that combine to form this character? Participants will walk and examine the differing material surfaces and structures we find, and draw from them the possibility of an inherent or imbued meaning in the materials. The group will record the way through photography, as the photos will exist as both a record of and an index to the material properties of the neighborhoods traversed.
This way holds 10 people and is presented in partnership with Residency Unlimited.
