ALWAYS designate a cup that doesn't look anything like the type of cup you'd drink out of. This stuff tastes awful. I've had late nights where I can't put together a sentence and I confused my drinking cup with my inking cup.

These are PROCESS PICS detailing how I did the IWYS cover art.

Back of flower shown, with hair clip. This clip works on both hair and clothing!

16X9” fabric for arm (2), 16X9“ fabric for lining (2), 4X5” felt in paw color, 7X5.5“ faux fur for cuff (2). Scissors, White Pencil. Needle, Pins, and Thread. 8” ribbon.

Sew a small piece of felt to the back of the flower, so you can slip a hair clip of brooch pin into the flower and interchange it as desired. Be sure to only sew two sides of the felt, as shown.

HowTo:

K200D with 10-20 lens (at 10mm, but this is cropped to about a half frame), pointing straight up.

F/4, ISO200, 30s exposures, no dark frames (no noise suppression).

Cable release locked on, continuous shooting for 2.5 hours.

Quick & dirty processing: subtract successive image frames. This removes the awful skyglow and the camera dark noise, but (since the stars move from frame to frame) it leaves the stars.

Next time: set manual white balance.

I caught just one meteor, just after midnight.

Let's see if Astrometry.net can find where it was.

so, i roasted it first for 30 mins at 100 C so to dry all of the excess water after the wash, and the i jumped up the temperature to 200C for a further 30 mins.

I regularly checked that it was alright and at some point removed some of the bits getting a bitt too scortched, leaving a very few to finish off for a further 5 minutes

Finally ready :)

On my blog is a description and how to make your own whiteboard soooo much better than those smudgy boring whitboards.

This shows a signal stream received by BTM-182 going into arduino RX (top), and the response from arduino (echoing) TX to BTM-182 RX (bottom).

*This* is what your OEM focusing screen looks like. Save this in case you ever need to sell the camera / take the camera back to Canon, etc.

Needless to say you've just voided your warranty at this point. Of course, if you do things right and reinstall the old screen when you take it in for warranty work, they'll never know :-)

Fold fabric in half diagonally so that the right-side is facing out.

Part way through my project, I realized my painting skillz are more akin to the cheesy country style, than to Van Gogh. To prevent my hardwork from ending up in the Museum of Bad Art (MOBA), I decided to only partially finish "coloring in" my initial drawing. I am leaving the rest of the painting in color book style. It still looks damn good on an antique washboard ;)

There's a trend in fabric design for "paint-by-number fabric" (see Moda Birds by Number, Deer by Number by Erin Michael fro Moda, and this blog post has a good etsy round up). so. I ended up with a coloring book painting. My guess is it's still MOBA-worthy, lol.
