As discovered via Fatwallet, BestBuy has interesting "Back to School" coupon booklets at their stores. It's interesting because they appear to give you random sets of discounts. Someone found a way to identify the one that give you the 30% off coupon.
Basically, I've confirmed two ways to quickly spot the ones that have the bigger discounts:
1. As you'll see in the photos, the 30% off ones have slightly different copyright text than the lower (10% 5% 15%) booklets. If you get one with a 29528_1 to the left of the copyright symbol on the back cover, you have a lower one. If there's no text to the left of the the copyright symbol, you've got the 30% off!
2. I found the "Back-to-School" booklets next to the customer service counters. Since there were sales people there, I couldn't afford to stand around and sort through stacks of booklets. A quick way to find the ones with the bigger discounts is to look from the top side of the stack (i.e. spine of the booklet fold). The 30% off ones will be less yellowish in print, probably because of a difference in printing or folding batch.

For step by step instructions on the most mind-blowing (in relative terms) scarf-tying method ever, peep this post: www.kadavy.net/blog/posts/how-to-tie-a-scarf/
Here you can see that this cheap craft store necklace chain + clasp have lost their silver-plating. Additionally, this chain has reacted with my skin and turned it green. One of the best ways to prevent this from happening with jewelry chains, is to use a higher quality metal (i.e. sterling silver, not sterling silver-plated).
Flip the flower over (to the non-bunch-sewn side) and sew your embellishment to the center of the top flower layer. I used a handful of gold seed beads, but you could use a fancy button or a large bead.

This is my Jimi™. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It has spent the last three or four years sharing a pocket with my house keys and has stood up pretty well.

I'm not sure what to do with the white corners of the frames on this page. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to change their color from within Comic Life. Maybe when I have the time I'll open it up in Gimpshop and fill in the corners with black or something.
Sew your fabric circles together, with the smallest ones nested in the larger ones. You may also wish to add your embellishment to the center of the smallest circle at this time.
When you get to the point to cast on for front and back, using same yarn just do knitted cast on as follows:
*Knit 1, leaving stitch on left needle. Transfer new stitch onto left needle by slipping it knit-wise. Repeat from *
Knitted cast-on leaves the sideseems very strechy and you don't have to bother casting-on separately and then connecting them to the main piece and hiding ends...;)

In order to get nice, crisp hexagon edges, it is best to use some sort of implement (like a bone folder) to press at the seams a bit and make sure all the corners are nice and pointy.
