I had to re-import all my photos from an external drive today. I'm glad I kept backups. As I was going through this years archive I found this and somehow this time, it stood out to me. Nice little area in the mountains of Japan called, "OIGAMI". Not a very well known location where I am. I like the mood and stormy sky.

Hot water is flowing through the geothermal field Hveravellir in North-Iceland.

Nearby, a greenhouse farm utilizes the energy for vegetable cultivation. This area is one of the famous geothermal fields of Iceland.

Around the geothermally active area of Geysir, Iceland. The water here boils straight out of the ground. It really does seem like another world.

The babe and I decided to visit the Byron Hotsprings Motel today.

I actually went to this place before like seven months ago without the babe.

It was a very much more interesting experience WITH the babe. And to my surprise she actually liked it.

We hiked up to the 50 year abandoned hotel (look it up motherfucker if you haven’t heard of it, the Byron Springs Hotel).

And we explored every single room. The poor babe was subject to graffiti words like “fuck” and “666” and “I WILL KILL YOU” weird shit on the wall.

It did not phase the babe.

She pointed out the bad words. I told her not to worry about it. We climbled up the levels of this crazy place. The babe to my surprise loved it.

To sum it up, this was a hotel to the RICH AND FAMOUS during the early part of the 20th century. Then it was purchased by the US government during WWII as a Japanese kind of POW camp in the 1940’s and it has been abandonded since the 1940’s.

It’s so cool I can’t even tell you.

Some people say it’s haunted.

The babe and I decided to explore it today.

She loved every minute of it (really).

Rock on man

Hot Springs at Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Pagosa Springs is named by the Southwestern Ute word, "Pagosah" which now translates as, "healing waters." The all-natural, geothermal hot springs have been a driving attraction to the area for generations, and many believe the mineral-rich waters have healing qualities. The Mother Spring feeds all of the geothermal pools and waterworks in Pagosa Springs and is certified by Guinness World Records as the World's Deepest Geothermal Hot Spring Aquifer at a depth of over 1002 feet (305 meters).

Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park

This is a popular getaway hotspring area with lots of hotels. More than half of those are abandoned. Beautiful gorge and surrounding mountains.

There’s a lot of natural hot springs located around Atlanta, Idaho. This one is about a half mile outside of town.
