I'm busy on my job since January and don't have much time to go out for shooting. However, I keep cooking dinner twice (or more) a week for family. Today's dinner is paella!
Put home-grown rosemary on it. :-)
My boyfriend loves Mothers' Circus Animal Cookies, so for Valentine's Day, I attempted to make them for him. Unfortunately, they may look the same, but they don't taste the same!
The wife and I teamed up to make a great pizza. This was our first try! She told me she wanted to try homemade pizza. I told her I need a stone for the oven and a teal. She got them for me as an early father's day present. So far I am impressed! Just imagine where we can go from here?

Homemade 105 mm soft focus lens on a Nikon D90.
(pretty much straight out of the camera)
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my soft focus lenses can produce some nice portraits. After all, there is a long history of soft focus lenses being used for portrait work. But most of that was on large (or at least medium) format, not crop-sensor DSLRs.
With that in mind, I spent most of this session shooting with my homemade lenses on my medium format camera. Since my MF camera doesn't have a light meter, I swapped the lens onto my DSLR so that I could measure the light. So basically, this shot was taken with my "light meter."
I'll post the "real photos" once they've been scanned.
Ice cream is soft, creamy, without ice crystals. Do not need a machine for ice cream or mixing every hour.
225 g cream cheese Philadelphia
400 g sweetened condensed milk
1 / 3 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 1 / 2 cup fresh strawberries or blueberries
3 digestive biscuits broken for 1 / 2 inch pieces
Mix together to combine the ingredients: evaporated milk, heavy cream, cream cheese and lemon zest. Pour into a plastic, flat container and put into the freezer for 4 hours. Strawberries mix blender. Strawberry mass transfer to a container of ice cream. Add crushed biscuits and mix. You do not need to do this very carefully. Container re-inserted into the freezer and leave it there for at least 8 hours. Ice cream remove from the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes before serving. Then more easily applied to ice cream scoops.
Felt like cooking this weekend so I made homemade king prawn and mascarpone mezzelune with basil cream and garlic prawns.
I thought I'd try out a childhood classic, Pop-Tart. These were pretty simple to make (its just pie crust and strawberry jam) but it's not as simple as just opening a package...
A homemade creation of my dear chef sister :)
I sprinkled some of the rainbow crumbs on the white icing for an added touch!
