This shot is #2 of 3 in my bread baking adventure. It has just come out of the oven and is cooling off.
The first, and possibly the last, time that I will make and ice sugar cookies. My vision of perfectly iced cookies didn't materialise. Nothing went right; dough not chilled enough, cookies too thick, first batch underbaked, second batch overbaked. Then came the icing, too stiff, then too runny!
At least I got a few that looked good enough for a photo for my last one in the scavenger hunt.

Niqui's been busy crafting and baking this week (while I've been working from home). This rather tasty carrot cake is her latest creation
Can I just have Hollandaise sauce on everything, please?
Casey makes an epic Hollandaise sauce!
I poached eggs for the first time for this breakfast, it was scary at first, but they turned out good! We even watched a Martha Stewart how-to video before we got started! I would like to learn how to make english muffins so we can have it fully homemade.
We used our favorite maple-smoked canadian bacon.
I have a sweet tooth. For breakfast I like coffee and cookies. It's not the healthiest way to start my day but it sure is yummy!
For this week's theme on Macro mondays a picture of my daily routine: For
breakfast I squeeze oat to flakes and add some fresh fruit (today: quince,
blueberry, banana, grapes). HMM
I saw this bench made out of old tractor parts, old barn wood, and old horseshoes. It's pretty awesome.
Nearly didn’t manage a photo today, as we've had no electricity for 5 hours. Luckily, came back on about half way through the setting things up. I use a tv screen, direct-connected to the camera, so I can position everything without having to constantly jump up and down and check the camera screen. Also lucky the Eccles cakes were baked yesterday as the oven's electric!
I’m not usually this messy when I’m making cards lol but the little cut outs looked good on my table! It’s been useful being able to make cards recently as we seem to have had a lot of family birthdays during this lockdown. Take care all, thanks for viewing and have a lovely new week 😀

MADE BY ME
I made this bowl in ceramics class in college. That makes it an antique. Maybe it's finally worth something!
Pocomoke City, Maryland - Cemetery at Georgetown Baptist Church Marker for Lavana V. Blake 1936 to 2010. Occasionally I come across homemade grave markers, usually in Black cemeteries such as this one, but also in the white cemeteries. Sometimes they have coins or colored glass pressed into the cement. They are more personal then the commercial tombstones as some one wanted to make sure their loved one would not be buried in an unmarked grave. Cement has a short life compared to granite, already moss is growing on it and in another 20 years the freezing weather will crack and crumble it.
