Macro Mondays: Holiday Bokeh

Colourful Christmas lights provided the bokeh for this image. Thanks for the challenge. My first time deliberately trying to create some bokeh.

Holiday Bokeh Mother Natures way! Frost on the car and Frost on the tip of an evergreen bush made for some nice Bokeh.

An oldie but fits the theme for Smile on Saturday 😊

"Redux 2017--My Favorite Theme of the Year"

My favourite theme was the holiday bokeh

Macro Monday Redux 2016- Some of my favourite themes from the year. Combined a few more themes here including in a row and holiday bokeh ! A lovely Christmas present from my niece . Now it is time for the taste test !

This weeks theme in Macro Mondays is Holiday Bokeh and this is my contribution.

Macro of a very small area of a crystal tea light candle holder bought in Upsala Sweden more than 15 years ago. Each of the larger 'bubbles' in the pattern is approximately 3/4" (19mm). The light from the flame is illuminating the crystal 'mounds' from the inside. The red bokeh in the background is a hand made red glass candle holder bought in Germany more than 10 years ago.

From Queen Elizabeth's 2016 Christmas message:

They ["ordinary people doing extraordinary things"] are an inspiration to those who know them, and their lives frequently embody a truth expressed by Mother Teresa, from this year Saint Teresa of Calcutta. She once said, 'Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.'"

And to all as this year draws to an end:

Best wishes for the new year.

Meilleurs voeux pour la nouvelle année.

Mis mejores deseos para el año nuevo.

I migliori auguri per il nuovo anno.

Bedste ønsker for det nye år.

Beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar.

Onnea uudelle vuodelle.

Beste Wünsche für das neue Jahr.

De beste ønsker for det nye året.

HMM and Happy New Year!

I was really happy when I saw the theme for this week! I love both Christmas and bokeh! This was the first time I did something with bokeh. I am pretty happy with the result! :) I made half a heart with metal wire. I put the half on the mirror to create a complete heart. The heart stands for my love for X-mas!

HMM to everybody!

Thanks for the views, faves and comments! I am grateful for it!

Merry Christmas HMM

Oscar relaxing in the glow of Christmas tree lights yesterday...it's a hard life!

I'm hoping to find time for a quick Macro Mondays 'holiday bokeh' shot later today, but if not I'd like to wish everyone a very, very Merry Christmas.

I hope, if you're celebrating, you're able to have some time off with loved ones to share fun, laughter and peaceful moments, making memories and merriment! 🎄💖
