Merry Christmas :-)
By the way, I post my picture for Macro Mondays.
Very capricious network where I am. Sorry if I can not go to your galleries.
Strictly speaking my Rudolph is a red deer, and is called Hans, but he was so kind to assist as Rudy in this Holiday Bokeh capture. The background was provided by my "Bokeh machine", the illuminated Christmas ball, which I have already used for these captures: www.flickr.com/photos/94635768@N04/31140781011/in/datepos... and www.flickr.com/photos/94635768@N04/30979516695/in/datepos... . Rudy's face including the antlers is approximately 5 cm (1.968503937 inches) long. I had toyed with the idea to paint his nose red, but did not have any nail varnish, so I did that in Photoshop ;-).
Happy Macro Monday everyone!

Holiday bokeh...for Macro Monday
For the Macro Monday challenge "Redux 2018" (December 31st 2018)
(My Favourite Theme of the Year) This year I chose one that I missed out on due to anniversary celebrations. It is last week's Holiday Bokeh. I knew what I wanted to try and shoot, but just couldn't find the time! It is a small portion of a festive pine cone that is completely covered in gold. (establishing shot in the first comment field)
Happy Hogmanay Macro Monday! ;o)
My 2018 set: 2018 here
All the previous years of the challenge:
Poinsettia - Holiday Bokeh: Macro of a very small part of 2 poinsettia leaves, 1 red, 1 green (far upper left), with bokeh front and centre; taken for the Macro Mondays theme "Holiday Bokeh"

Since I love bokeh and all the different kind of possibilities of it, I decided to do this once again.
Monday, December 26: Redux 2016--My Favorite Theme of the Year
My way to express wishes, and:
For Macro Mondays theme, “Bokeh” . This is a very tiny (1.5 cm) Wisteria bud, with bokeh from background Christmas lights...
I had a lot of fun setting everything up.
Merry Christmas to you all!

Macro of a very small area of a crystal tea light candle holder bought in Upsala Sweden more than 15 years ago. Each of the larger 'bubbles' in the pattern is approximately 3/4" (19mm). The light from the flame is illuminating the crystal 'mounds' from the inside. The red bokeh in the background is a hand made red glass candle holder bought in Germany more than 10 years ago.
From Queen Elizabeth's 2016 Christmas message:
They ["ordinary people doing extraordinary things"] are an inspiration to those who know them, and their lives frequently embody a truth expressed by Mother Teresa, from this year Saint Teresa of Calcutta. She once said, 'Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.'"
And to all as this year draws to an end:
Best wishes for the new year.
Meilleurs voeux pour la nouvelle année.
Mis mejores deseos para el año nuevo.
I migliori auguri per il nuovo anno.
Bedste ønsker for det nye år.
Beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar.
Onnea uudelle vuodelle.
Beste Wünsche für das neue Jahr.
De beste ønsker for det nye året.
