Tramandai beach is probably the biggest holiday resort in south Brazil. During summer time the town gets absurdly packed and this pier is the one of the meeting points.

South Brazilian cost is formed by miles upon miles of sand beach. Some of them are still almost intact and you can see along the coast this marvelous sand curves formed by water and wind.

This particular day I went there with my dad. Woke up 4:00 to get there and get the sunrise. We actually arrived just 7 minutes prior the sunrise so most of the pictures end up being black and white (ouch!!!).

I have been thinking about doing some changes in my photography and I have been looking around quite a lot more recently. I will take me somewhere, that is for sure. Stay tunned.

Spotted the baby ptarmigans before I spotted their mother pictured here. These are wonderful birds to watch in the wild. They blend in so well to their environment. In winter they are pure white.

Summer seemed to come to a very abrupt end this year. Taken on a calm, warm, late summer morning. A total contrast to what is going on out there today!

Lerryn Creek is situated in a valley on the east bank of the river Fowey. The riverside is said to have inspired Kenneth Graham in his writing of ‘The Wind in the Willows’.

Grahame stayed at the Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth in 1907. During his holiday he took a boat trip from Fowey. Whilst passing the riverbanks, his thoughts turned to beginning the novel. The story began as a series of letters, the first two which he sent to his son Alastair, while staying at the Greenbank Hotel. While he never lived here, Cornwall was to remain an important holiday destination for the author.

Lerryn is separated by the tidal creek which, at low water, exposes stepping stones uniting the two sides of the village, though the old stone bridge, which carries the road, is the normal way to cross. Each winter the water here comes alive with local teams competing in the Seagull Race, involving strapping a low-powered Seagull outboard motor to anything that will float and racing to raise money for the local RNLI.

The name Mevagissey is derived from the names of two saints, St Meva and St Issey. The old town was once the centre of Cornwall’s pilchard fishery and is still a working harbour, with a few dozen small fishing boats. It also has a tradition of boat building dating back to 1745. Many of the old buildings, constructed of cob and slate, bear testimony to a time when the large shoals of pilchards were the livelihood of the whole village.

A shot of Inner Farne at dusk from Seahouse on the East coast of Northumbria.

This island was home to Saint Cuthbert for many years but now is a major tourist attraction and home to many sea birds, notwithstanding all of the recent problems of bird flu.

The islands are managed by the National Trust.

This is a bit of an old shot from a holiday in 2014 which I had forgotten about but was reminded of whilst watching a recent television programme.
