Wide angle view from the Parterre Garden on the imposing beauty of Waddesdon Manor, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England, in the United Kingdom.
Waddesdon Manor was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839–1898). Since this was the preferred style of the Rothschilds it became also known as the Goût Rothschild. The house, set in formal gardens and an English landscape park, was built on a barren hilltop overlooking Waddesdon village. The last member of the Rothschild family to own Waddesdon was James de Rothschild. He bequeathed the house and its contents to the National Trust in 1957. Today, following an extensive restoration, it is administered by a Rothschild charitable trust that is overseen by Jacob Rothschild, 4th Baron Rothschild.

Several years ago a lightning strike caused a massive forest fire in Kootney National Park, near Banff, Alberta. Today all that remains is a forest of burnt out pine trees and the surrounding peaks. Yet even with all this natural destruction, she still stands proud and majestic.

Position: The Port of Naples is situated in the centre of Naples, very close to the central Piazza Municipio, near Piazza Garibaldi and about 15 km from Naples Airport. The Port of Naples is one of the largest Italian seaports and one of the largest seaports in the Mediterranean Sea basin.
Position: This photo has taken on the coast of Costa Adeje, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Captures the evening mood when sunset colored over the environment.
This old mill is located in Lytham, Lytham is situated on the Fylde coast just south of Blackpool in Lancashire.Built in 1805 and until a fire 1919 a working mill, restored in the 1980s and is now serves as a heritage museum and tourist information office.
After numerous weather forecast checks today was meant to be a cloud free sunrise. Unfortuantley that was not the case.
Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall, just a few miles west of the market town of Penzance. The village has a rich history and was famously sacked by the Spaniards in July 1595 when the entire village, apart from one house, was burnt to the ground. That house still stands today.
A hundred years ago Mousehole was a bustling port, crowded with local fishing boats, landing pilchards. Each year, early in November, timber beams are laid across the narrow harbour entrance, to protect the village from the worst of the winter gales. Even so waves can still be seen breaking over the harbour wall at high tide on a strong southerly wind.
Mousehole today has retained much of its old world charm. Local cottages, built from finely grained Lamorna granite, huddle together around the inner edge of the harbour and its bustling narrow streets are filled with small shops, galleries and cafes.

Polperro Harbour, located in Cornwall, England, is a picturesque and historic fishing village renowned for its scenic beauty and charm. Nestled within a steep valley on the south coast, Polperro boasts a protected harbour surrounded by quaint, whitewashed cottages and narrow, winding streets. The harbour, originally built to support the local fishing industry, dates back to the 13th century and has been a hub of activity for centuries.
The Blue Peter Inn, situated near the picturesque harbour, is named after the Blue Peter maritime signal flag, which signifies that a ship is ready to sail.
Polperro's history is rich with tales of smuggling, which flourished in the 18th and 19th centuries due to its secluded coves and hidden paths. Today, the village retains much of its old-world charm, with many of the original fishermen's cottages preserved and now serving as homes, shops, and holiday accommodations.

The village is also a starting point for stunning coastal walks along the Southwest Coast Path, offering breathtaking views of the rugged coastline. This Capture of Talacre Lighthouse happened moments after the sunset and this angle capturing the lit clouds
Polperro is a fishing port on a rocky coastline near Looe, with narrow, cobbled alleys and houses perched on slopes above the harbour.
Much of the village dates to the 13th century, and for many years the prosperity of Polperro was founded on the pilchard fishery. When the pilchard fishery waned, smuggling became perhaps the major source of Polperro's riches. One well-known smuggler was Willy Wilcox, who, according to legend, was lost in the bewildering network of caves that wind through the cliffs.
Now the village relies on tourism, with visitors drawn by the tightly packed lanes and idyllic fishermen's' cottages that line the picturesque harbour. Most of the buildings near the harbour are untouched by time, giving Polperro a quaint, old world feel.
Port Isaac has been a fishing village since the early fourteenth century. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with old white-washed cottages and traditional granite, slate-fronted Cornish houses, many of which are listed as of architectural or historic importance. Port Isaac is reputed to have one of the narrowest thoroughfares in Britain, the aptly named Squeezy Belly Alley!
From the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century, Port Isaac was a busy port handling various imports and exports, including coal, timber, pottery and Delabole slate. In fact, the name Port Isaac is derived from the Cornish Porth Izzick meaning the 'corn port'. After the advent of the railways, it became principally a fishing port.
Today it is a traditional fishing village with a vibrant local community. It is also home to the TV series Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes, and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

A half a day trip from Phnom Penh to the 17th-19th century Cambodian capital Oudong took us thousands of steps up the prominent Phnom Oudong on top of which stand the royal stupa graves. This newer and more architecturally impressive white stupa on the way to the ancient tombs, is said to house relics from Buddha himself, although it appears to only rarely open to the public. The exterior decorations and details are nonetheless impressive.

Have been in beaches many times at many places ... not a big fan till my son started enjoying the waves. Rather I enjoy watching him play. But the beaches in Phuket and Krabi in Thailand, amazingly beautiful with that turquoise water, white sands and the clean shores. Yet to learn to handle over exposure and capture that colours :-)
One of the last images of the evening.
It was getting rather dark looking out over the harbour, however, I could just make out the reflection of the clouds and the stilllness of the 2 boats.
I decided to take a 30 sec exposure for this shot to help smooth out any movement.
Spending a few days in Switzerland in June.
This is a small part of the Castle at Oberhofen, standing at Lake Thun and after sunset it gave me the right setting for a scenery like this.

A Lovely evening taking photos in the beautiful little West Sussex village of Bosham.
We were treated to another lovely sunset.
Im not sure I should really say this... but I really like Waterton National Park better than Banff National Park... Then main reason... it is just as scenic and has no where near the crowds... Don't tell anyone... let's keep it that way!
