. I recently upgraded to Lightroom 6 and I am revisiting some of my pictures to see what kind of results I got using HDR.
This is the Webb-Hay House, located in Carmi, Illinois. It was built in 1876, in the Italiante style of architecture.
A Colunata Honório de Lima, situada no centro da Vila do Gerês, freguesia de Vilar da Veiga, em pleno Parque Nacional da Peneda‑Gerês, constitui um dos elementos arquitetónicos mais representativos desta estância termal do norte de Portugal. Construída em 1926, segundo projeto do arquiteto Raul Lino, a estrutura homenageia Eduardo Honório de Lima, portuense que, nas décadas de 1920–1930, foi gerente da Empresa das Águas do Gerês e figura decisiva na afirmação das termas. As águas das Termas do Gerês, de composição tiossulfatada e bicarbonatada sódica, hipertermais e fracamente mineralizadas, são reconhecidas pelas suas propriedades terapêuticas, particularmente em afeções digestivas, metabólicas, reumáticas e hipertensão arterial. A colunata apresenta uma sucessão de colunas monolíticas em granito local, encimadas por uma cobertura que protege os utentes das intempéries durante o percurso entre o balneário termal e o Parque das Termas. Ao longo do alpendre coberto instalaram‑se pequenos comércios tradicionais que vendem artigos regionais, vestuário e recordações, preservando a função social do espaço enquanto zona de convívio dos aquistas.
The Honório de Lima Colonnade, located in the center of Vila do Gerês, in the parish of Vilar da Veiga, in the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, is one of the most iconic architectural features of this spa town in northern Portugal. Built in 1926 according to a design by architect Raul Lino, the structure pays tribute to Eduardo Honório de Lima, a native of Porto who, in the 1920s and 1930s, served as manager of the Empresa das Águas do Gerês and played a decisive role in establishing the thermal baths. The waters of the Gerês Thermal Baths—which contain thiosulfate and sodium bicarbonate, are hyperthermal, and have low mineral content—are renowned for their therapeutic properties, particularly in treating digestive, metabolic, and rheumatic conditions, as well as high blood pressure. The colonnade features a series of monolithic columns made of local granite, topped by a roof that shelters visitors from the elements as they walk between the spa building and the Parque das Termas. Along the covered porch, small traditional shops have set up shop, selling regional goods, clothing, and souvenirs, thereby preserving the space’s social function as a gathering place for visitors.

Part of the old gunpowder works in Kennal Vale Cornwall. The gunpowder works was driven by a number of water mills. This small waterfall is missing the last chute which took the water to the mill wheel just a couple of meters out of shot on the right.away

I have included this shot (on a shorter zoom) in order to show the Viaduct's isolated situation.
It was the last major construction to be built by hand.

The younger brother of my husband's great grandfather was employed by the Railway (he had been a Station Master previously); he and his family were in one of the many camps established during the construction of this viaduct. He died there from cholera, leaving a widow and small children
Whernside can be accessed easily by walking under one of the arches.

The rear roof of the unoccupied building collapsed under the weight of heavy snow loads accumulated over the course of this winter. For safety concerns the entire building was quickly leveled. I didn't see the demolition, but glad I was able to take a few pictures, especially of the front facade before it was destroyed, not knowing it would be taken down so quickly without an effort to preserve some of it.

Originally developed by Stephen Andrew Lynch, as its current name suggests, it is located at 11 East Forsyth Street in Downtown Jacksonville. On December 23, 2003, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Vestcor invested more than $24 million to restore the building's exterior and transform the former offices into loft apartments, which tenants began to occupy during 2003.
The 17-story, 153,000 sq ft (14,200 m2) building originally contained commercial offices and was opened by entrepreneur and film pioneer Stephen Andrew Lynch. It was designed by architects Pringle & Smith in 1926 in the Chicago School style. It was constructed with limestone, marble and a facade of brick; the top of the structure contained a capital of terra-cotta. When it opened in 1926, it was Jacksonville's second tallest building, one floor less than the Barnett National Bank Building.
The building was renovated in 1962 and renamed the American Heritage Life Building when it was utilized as home office of the American Heritage Life Insurance Company. When the company built a new headquarters and left the downtown during the late 1980s, the structure was unoccupied for many years.
Jacksonville developer Vestcor began a historic preservation of the building in 2002 after obtaining a $17.8 million, 1.5% interest, 20-year loan from the city of Jacksonville. The company restored many architectural features including polychromatic terra-cotta panels, decorative ceilings and steel panels. Elevators, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other infrastructure was modernized and a six-story parking garage was constructed adjacent to the building. The second floor was converted into a large community club room, a fitness center and a media room. Modern amenities were added while respecting the historic integrity of the structure. The building was renamed to "11 East Forsyth" and 127 apartments were opened in 2003 after $24 million and a year of construction. A Starbucks coffee bistro opened, but subsequently closed, leaving no tenants in the 4,500 sq ft (420 m2) of first-floor commercial space.
In late December 2009, Vestcor requested a modification to their loan terms, citing three years of operating losses at 11 East and their other renovated building, The Carling. The company asked for three years of interest-only payments plus low interest loans to potential tenants for the empty commercial space at 11 East. Three months later, the city approved the plan for principal deferral but took no action on tenant loans.

Maricao, Puerto Rico, Feb 1992. We drove up a narrow twisting road from Mayagüez to Maricao to attend the Coffee Festival. Maricao lies in at the western end of the Cordillera Central (Central Mountain range) of Puerto Rico. In the area of the festival, primitive structures, which perhaps are related to the history of the festival, line the street in front of the church. Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.

Since the Gillespie Dam was breached in 1993, a natural riparian preserve has slowly formed. A sanctuary where Pelicans, Egrets, Herons, and water fowl flourish. The jagged edge of the broken structure mirrors the slopes of the nearby Buckeye Hills in a blending of unique Arizona topographics.
