Historic Norman 8 arch bridge near Sturminster Marshall. Built in 1175 it has never been widened & is believed to be the oldest bridge crossing the River Stour.

The lighthouse has helped guide ships and other mariners throughout its entire existence along the Lake Huron shoreline since 1886.

Acueducto del Águila (Eagle Aqueduct), also known as Puente del Águila (Eagle Bridge), is regarded across the region as "an historic jewel of Spanish architecture". It was built in the 19th century and has been used continuously since - today the local community uses it to irrigate farmland. The aqueduct is situated on the Barranco de la Coladilla de Cazadores, to the south-west of the Caves of Nerja, and is visible from the N-340 road linking Nerja town and Maro.
The aqueduct was built between 1879 and 1880 (the exact date is not known) to aid the industrial revolution; it was intended to carry water from Nerja town to the local sugar refinery in Maro, Las Mercedes (also known as Fábrica San Joaquin de Maro, built in 1884), for irrigation. The aqueduct was commissioned by the factory owner, Francisco Cantarero Senio; his signature is visible in the central pavilion of the aqueduct. The factory is now closed but the aqueduct continues to be used for local irrigation.
During the Civil War the aqueduct suffered direct hits from shells fired during naval bombardments. This damage was repaired in 2011 however some of the damage is still visible. This acuequcthas been officially named a Site of Special Cultural Interest by the Andalucian Government.

Lyveden New Build
Not a ruin but an Elizabethan summer house that was never completed. Begun by Sir Thomas Tresham, the building remains incomplete & virtually unaltered since his death in 1605.

The elegant interior of St. Nicholas parish church at Moreton.
Originally dedicated to St. Magnus Martyr, it was changed to St. Nicholas in 1940. Extensively damaged by bombing during WW2, the church was rebuilt & included in the refurbishment were the beautiful engraved glass windows.
T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) was buried in the churchyard following his funeral in the church.

Llandudno Pier was designed by Sir James William Brunlees and Alexander McKerrow. Taking 2 years to construct, building commenced in 1876 and was completed in 1878. The Pier is known for its splendid Victorian and Edwardian elegance, with its kiosks designed by architects Charles Henry Driver and Charles H. Rew.
The Pier is constructed of wrought iron lattice girders resting on cast iron columns – finished with a traditional wooden decking. The Pier’s total length is 2295ft, of which the main Pier is 1234ft, stretching majestically into the Irish Sea.
In the early 20th Century the pier became so popular during the summer season that extensive improvements were made which included the widening of a large portion of the pier. In 1969 the pier was rebuilt in concrete and steel, enabling the largest Isle of Man steamboats to dock, by 1972 the pier was well known for day trips to the Isle of Man. Many famous faces have sailed to the Pier over the years including Ringo Starky, who went on the achieve fame in The Beatles – Ringo Starr. Sailing to and from the Pier came to an end in 2005 due to the condition of the Berthing area. Following extensive renovations to the landing stage 2015 saw the return of the Waverly & Balmoral sailings.
Since purchasing the pier Adam Williams continues to invest in the structural maintenance of Llandudno Pier. Annually, during the winter months steel replacement and renewal of decking takes place. In addition, a small but dedicated Maintenance Team, work all year long to maintain and improve the standard of the Piers décor and appearance.

This was a very productive day .Started out early morning on client hills with some beautiful light then about mid day I made my way to Stourbridge Junction andante Stourbridge Canal ,The light had gone by this time and it didn't look good but I got a few photos I was very pleased with this being one of them
