Built in the 16th century, the Barak Khan madrasa is part of the Khazrati Imam complex which is at the center of Islam in Tashkent (Toshkent), Uzbekistan. As with other religious structures, the madrasa fell into disrepair from neglect during the 80-year Soviet period. Since gaining independence, the government of Uzbekistan has coordinated restoration of historically important structures. The madrasa is close to being returned to its former glory.

Kilmanagh is a crossroad town in Michigan's Thumb, with not much notoriety except this one historic building. It is slowly giving way to gravity, wind, rain, and time.

The deteriorating structure once known as the 'Old General Store in Kilmanagh, MI. Also known as the C. Haist and Co store, and the Woldt Bros store. A unique building with a gas pump still out front.

The kitchen at Wallington Hall

I looked through the archway and saw the towers of the building standing clearly against the sky. The stonework appeared crisp in the light and the details became more noticeable as I stepped closer. From where I stood, the symmetry of the front made the entrance feel like the natural point of focus. The building is a well known example of English Gothic architecture in Oxford.
