If you aren't an expert in architecture and different styles of half-timbered houses you won't spot a difference between these two streets.
They are both equally beautiful.

Okay... here is a cropped single-shot image... taken at Blaauwberg beach moments before sunset... last Wednesday afternoon.
The clouds were looking promising and I was hoping for something fantastic. I struggled to find a compelling composition here though... there was an ugly brown haze over the city... the sun was behind a massive cloud... and the light was less than ideal. My only hope was a tiny gap between the clouds and horizon... the sun would have to pass through there at some point... and I was determined to shoot something nice when it did.
This was my favourite of the ten shots that I managed to squeeze off in those few moments of beautiful sunlight... it's not as fantastic as I was hoping for... but I suppose it did make the one hour drive (to get to the beach and back) somewhat worthwhile. :)

'Hinter der Balge' is one of the narrowest streets in Bremen and can be found in the Schnoor district.

Sometimes things in our lives seem to explode on the scene without warning. But often if we go back and look we will see there were hints that we simply ignored. In Minnesota the hints of the Drawn Out White start in late summer and become more pronounced in September. On a still quiet afternoon near a gravel road the hints were gentle but insistent.
