Gloucestershire College celebrated the achievements of over 400 higher education students in the grand setting of Gloucester Cathedral at its 24th Higher Awards Ceremony. 103 students graduated in person, across 23 higher education subjects.
Courses recognised at the ceremony, which welcomed Suzanne Hall-Gibbins, Director of Circle2Success as Guest of Honour, included Higher National Certificates in Graphic Design, Computing and Mechanical Engineering, professional qualifications in Leadership and Management, Quality and Accounting to a range of teaching qualifications and a Foundation Degree in Aerospace Computer Systems.
Matthew Burgess, Principal and Chief Executive said: “The Higher Awards Ceremony is a fantastic celebratory occasion, and we are so proud of each and every graduate who has achieved a higher education qualification with us. Each story of individual achievement here today is important.
It’s not easy to study at this level, but it’s worth it. So many of our higher education students go on to successfully secure work in their chosen field, to gain a promotion in their workplace or to progress onto a higher level of study and I wish them all success in the future.”
