On a beautiful summer day, I was gazing at the clouds when a plane shot through the clouds, climbing higher and higher.

This project fills a need for convention hotel product, expanding the City’s higher-end product offering, and contributing to growing a year-round resort destination.

The Cavalier project has a total cost of $235 million; it has several components, and was first approved for incentives by City Council in July 2013 with the renovation of the historic Cavalier Hotel, preservation of the lawn, and the Marriott with a parking garage on the Oceanside, for a total of $18 million. In February 2014, City Council also approved the project for the State’s Tourism Development Financing Program, (TDFP), which returns to the developer the 1% local sales tax paid by the project each year (along with 1% of the state sales tax, and the 1% access fee paid by the developer to the State). In March 2017, City Council approved an amendment to the TDFP, to include the Embassy Suites and an expanded parking garage on the oceanfront, increasing the value of the local TDFP to $8.17 million to be paid in annual installments of initially of $110,000, which will gradually escalate to $600,000 by Year 7. The total $8.17 million is estimated to be paid over approximately 14-to-15 years.

And it looks good too.......

The Clock Tower, UCAS Higher Education Fair 2010

This picture meets the goals of the assignment because the window is framing the canisters. It focuses mainly on framing more so than it focuses on composition. One strength I think this photo has is that the canisters are pretty centered on the window frame, and I was able to get all of them into the photo, while getting most of the frame in as well. A weakness I think this photo has is a lack of a focal point-the picture doesn't focus on one specific canister. I was able to crop out some of the excess, unneeded part of the original picture; however, I also wish I could have cropped out the bottom left corner of the photo some more, or aimed the camera a little higher to get the counter top out of the photo entirely. To take this photo, I knelt down a bit and aimed the camera at an angle so that I wouldn't get the canisters directly and straight on. I took this photo at night so that the light from the sun wouldn't stream into the window, possibly causing the canisters in the photo to look washed or flushed out.

Maser’s Higher Ground reimagines a world of converging architecture and geometry on a grand scale. Rising up from the Hyde Park lawn and reaching over two storeys high, this installation relies on you to bring it to life. Physical and visual boundaries collide, and explosive colours, shapes and stripes offer you plenty of reasons to explore space.

Alexanderplatz is a large open square and public transport hub in central Berlin, near the Spree river and the Berliner Dom,. Berliners often call it simply Alex.

The Alexanderplatz has been subject to redevelopment several times in its history, most recently during the 1960s, when it was enlarged as part of the German Democratic Republic's redevelopment of the city centre. It is surrounded by several notable structures including the Fernsehturm (TV Tower), the second tallest structure in Europe. Because of its high profile, many newcomers to Berlin mistake the nickname Alex and apply it to the Fernsehturm instead.
