This is LaBua 1800+ feet up looking over PA.

High Point, formerly USS High Point PCH-1, built by Martinac at Seattle and launched in 1962 was the first operational hovercraft in the USN, and then the USCG. I found her at the Port of Astoria docks on the east side of Tongue Point. Feb. 23, 2014

As mentioned earlier, these trails in the northeast go straight up and down, following either ridges or streambeds. No swtichbacks. This actually was a bit scarier in the morning when it was mistier and there was less visibility.

I can't recomend the modernist show at the V&A enough btw, a very interesting section on this building inspired me to hunt it down!
