I’m getting some of my Holiday presents early this year. My packages tend to be delayed if I order them in mid/late December, so I took precaution this time around. These will be my last Ever After High dolls for the year—but I might still get more presents this year…they just won’t be Ever After High dolls, as far as I can guarantee.

I always find teal to be a challenging subject. They are quite small compared to other waterfowl, fly low and fast, and super wary. This drake Blue-Winged Teal (Anas discors) was backlit and would not let me get close, so I chose to place it small in the frame and try a high-key approach. I think it turned out decent!

Thomas M. Cooley High School is located at the intersection of Hubbell Avenue and Chalfonte Street, on the northwest side of Detroit, Michigan. The three-story, Mediterranean Revival-style facility opened its doors on September 4, 1928.
The school was named in honor of Thomas M. Cooley, a nineteenth-century jurist and former Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. Cooley was also a charter member, and first chairman, of the Federal Interstate Commerce Commission.
