Hidden among the trees and shoreline rocks. A hunter's retreat on one of the many islands of the St. Lawrence River.

Another view of the well presented lawn and the triangular topiary trees at the Hidden Gardens.

These gardens are immaculately kept and a pleasure to walk around, this is our second visit and as good as the first over two years ago.

Hidden Villa is a gem of an organic farm and wilderness area located on the upper Adobe Creek watershed at the base of Black Mountain in Los Altos Hills. The foothills here are part of the Santa Cruz Mountain Range and are interestingly just a stones throw from Silicon Valley.

Here, spring time was running rampant at the farm, with a nice mix of cultivated flowers and indigenous flora. The farm is part of a nonprofit educational organization that teaches programs on environmental and multicultural awareness. My kind of place--great spot to spend a morning in spring time and the new baby animals are to die for.

This is hidden place in Joshua Tree National Park. It looks more precious when it is under milky way.

This photos was merged with 8 vertical shots. The foreground was lighted up by using Low Level Landscape Lighting (LLLL) method. This is not classic light painting, but more similar to modified studio lighting or "outdoor studio lighting". It consists of light panels on tripods left on the whole time, very dim, barely visible or not visible to the naked eye. You can find it more from Wayne Pinkston's page: www.flickr.com/photos/pinks2000/

Thanks for taking the time to take a look of my pictures. Your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!!

Alternative shot of the Main Shrine of Izumo Taisha. It is believed to be the residence of the enshrined gods, namely, Ookuninushi and his family members.

Shintou architectures are known to preserve original Japanese architectural traditions better than Buddhist architectures that were influenced by Korean and Chinese architectures. Although half-hidden by the walls, residences for the gods in the compound are constructed as stilt houses with a ladder. In this sense, they resemble the houses by the Yeak Laom Lake.

Architects point out that Japanese houses are designed to be well ventilated in order to be comfortable in humid summer by sacrificing protection against the cold in winter. In my opinion, it would be an influence of the Austroasiatic people, which came with the rice cultivation.

Rice cultivation in Japan started in Kyuushuu Island in the west around the 10th century B.C. and spread nationwide except for northern Honshuu and Hokkaidou by the 3rd century B.C., which roughly coincides with the period of Austroasiatic expansion. The style of earthen ware had drastically changed as rice cultivation spread.

Pink cosmos in the Hidden Gardens.

Pink cosmos are known for their cheerful daisy-like blooms and feathery foilage.

Cosmos are very popular for their vibrant colours and long bloom period.

Just starting our walk in The Hidden Gardens on the Isle of Anglesey on 1st August, a lovely sunny afternoon

hidden, to the side of the road.

at the end of a dead end path, UC Botanical Garden. HBM!

Such hidden delights make visits here always enjoyable.

A cottage in the "Hidden Village", Galboly, at Garron Point, Co Antrim. Looking a little different from the last time I saw it, over 50 years ago. It was adapted for the Game of Thrones TV series when Galboly became Runestone in the Vale of Arryn!

This is the way into " Plas Cadnant " - Hidden Gardens, on the Isle of Anglesey.

The sheep & lambs dominate the field car park, but this one in particular didn't want us to enter her domain !!!

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

On the rocks at the Fernhill Wetlands.

This series has an interesting story! Last year Jan. in the afternoon Dad was outside, doing some work, it was too hot, so I asked him to come inside n take rest. He refused and contd. so thought of preparing some juice for him, I heard some unusual chaos of birds, about 25-30 birds of diff. sps were flying frantically. When saw, I thought this chick was entangled in vines, so thought of helping it with a stick. It was about 12-15 ft up, so climbed a ladder, but then I realized it was caught by vine snake :( This snake is very slender, its girth is as that of my finger, it caught this poor Bulbul, but swallowing was not easy. This bird tried to escape, but died soon, the snake struggled long time to gulp it down and when realized it could be fatal, spat at me and vanished :(

A bit of a dull grey day today on the Morayfirth in Scotland, so I decided that I needed to start thinking a bit more cleverly about where to photograph. This meant going off the beaten track a bit to look for some less photographed compositions. This little spot down on the Tronach Head is worth the adventure down to get to it. It's only a short walk west of Portknockie but hidden away from view and best visited at low tide.
