I used mystery yarn for a lot of these; for others, I used Knit Picks Comfy, Shine, and Swish Superwash.
These hexagons are available in 3 sizes (30cm, 40cm and 50cm) and many different depths. They tessolate across a wall to create a very different but impressive storage solution. They can start from the floor, branch around a corner and begin to spread onto another wall.

I've been trying to figure out what the stylus would do if the groove were hexagonal, and it's dun my brane in.
Even though these hexagons look big they are only 3/4" in size.
I started with 5 fabric ones which were pleasing to the eye then I thought of adding one in French Knots--OK but that makes 6 hexagons-not so pleasing visually so I have done one other thing but you will have to wait and see what that is.
We spotted a hexagonal hunk of plywood on the beach. I assume it washed ashore from some ship somewhere. Curious to see if there was a hole in the "bottom" I turned it on its side. No hole. Lots of heavy. Mahmood speculated it could make something interesting in a backyard. I agree,

The itty bitty hexagons in this Susan McCord quilt measure approximately 1/2 inch from side to side.
this hexagon is about 10 cm across in real life. wonderful how simple embroidery silk made from cotton can really shine like silk.
I'll have to see how it holds up through washing. But if all goes well it will hardly ever need to be washed!
