Sule Pagoda, Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar (Burma) 1974. According to legend the pagoda is 2,600 years old, making my photo relatively recent! Soon after achieving enlightenment, Buddha refuses the temptations of the goddess Mara (the personification of lust, hesitation and fear) by touching Earth as his witness, one of the five classic stances of Buddhist sculpture.

Additional Suggestion: I could not do it because all pilots were on Galicia fires this summer, but the 4th day, when you check out, you might as well go through the AeroNiebla aerodrome and hire a 1 hr walk by plane to fly over the bed of the Rio Tinto , undoubtedly spectacular. Probably I'll take one of these Saturdays one AVE and go to Sevilla (40 km of Niebla) for air report.

After Sooke, we made our way toward Port Renfrew along the Vancouver Island coast. When we arrived, we made our way toward the Botanical Beach. After we parked the car, it was time to hustle. The sun was making its inexorable departure on the day and we still had a short hike ahead of us; fortunately it was downhill.
At the beach, it was time to get to work and find my first composition. This one was perhaps the most obvious choice because of the subtle reflection. Given the chance, this is a place to return to without hesitation.
As you no doubt can tell, the sun was setting to the right. The edges of the treetop branches were lit up as if on stage. The rest of the actors were in place and a moment later, this act was complete and I was on the hunt for the next scene.

Could you believe I could be different?
I'll be the difference, I'll lift you high
And I understand your hesitation
Our reputation, it's no surprise
So let me redefine you
And you can see the tide move
Just like tears in the eyes do
And when you're feeling alone
Oh, baby, I'll be right here
Between the sea and silence
So breathe easy my dear
You can find sunshine in the rain
I will come running when you call my name
Even a broken heart can beat again
Forget about the one who caused you pain
I swear I'll love you in a different way
I know that love is so unforgiving
You've been a victim too many times
And I'll be the thread, hold you together
I'll be forever, will you be mine?
One step closer and feeling fine
Getting better one day at a time
I'm moving forward it's all in my mind
I'm heading talk with a new stay to mine
So I hold back tears
Move in the right direction
Face my fears
Move in the right direction
I'm doing fine
One step closer every day at the time
I won't lose my mind, lose my mind, ah ah
Motivation a powerful strength
Hesitation was my first instinct
I got an ocean than weakness was
Total devotion it's okay
Because I will hold back tears
So I can move in the right direction
I have faced my fears
Now I can move in the right direction
I'm doing fine
One step closer every day at the time
I won't lose my mind, lose my mind, ah ah
Keeping my head of, looking forward
Reminiscent with gagging away
Never say never starting over
It's not perfect but it's getting closer
I hold back tears
So I can move in the right direction
I have faced my fears
Now I can move in the right direction
I'm doing fine
One step closer every day at the time
I won't lose my mind, lose my mind, ah ah

- hesitation at a real start... snapping a picture and playing with it for five or six minutes here. I look at the clock.. ("yeah yeah" I think) ... I upload I type, I wonder who will see this? What you think...
But there are other things I should be doing now... so... yeah

The black skimmer doesn’t fish the way other birds do. He flies low, wings stretched like he’s balancing on the edge of a dream, and drags his long lower beak through the water like it’s the simplest idea in the world. He doesn’t look down. He doesn’t dive. He just skims — and when a fish touches that blade of a beak, it snaps shut in an instant. No hesitation. It’s not flashy, but it’s brilliant in the way quiet things can be. He was made for exactly this, and he knows it.

Every Tuesday I post a fable, a half‑truth, or a wild adventure inspired by my photos and life experiences—sometimes wise, sometimes ridiculous, always fun. Tag along here:
Once again, Marion (Female Northern Cardinal) after much contemplation over the new enhancements at Robbie’s allotment feeding station; swooped in to see about getting the first treat from the area. You can’t blame her for doing that really. After all, the other feeding stations can hold two-day-old treats, and Robbie’s treats are put out fresh daily. Of course, that’s only because they disappear within an hour or two after being set out.
However as the saying goes, if you snooze you lose. Marion’s hesitation kept her from zipping in for the first treat. By the time she made the decision to visit the station, all of the fruit snacks were gone. How disappointing was that? Marion had to settle for a less enticing morsel. None the less, she did manage to get a snack.
This image was taken on a different day but goes with the story.
I hope you have an incredible day, happy snapping.
Is anyone getting fed up of these?
Got bored of pulling up nettles so had a little dabble and I quite liked this one, a bit trippy, I would imagine, but cheaper and legal.
If anyone is remotely interested, this is what happens if you twirl 'The Little Things'. 😳😳
If these beautiful birds, The Montezuma Oropendola are nearby you will surely know with there loud call as they fly . Lovely species and very interesting to watch as they fly in an out of their nest that are built similar to the oriole only much larger of course. They hang and how they fly in with no hesitation is beyond me. Costa Rica has many of this species to the delight of bird lovers.
Wishing you an awesome Saturday and a very blessed one too

This morning, I was taking a walk and, I found a sad and lonely rag doll thrown in the garbage container. I decided to adopt her. I know, my new doll is pretty.
♫ Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back ♫
I wanna follow where she goes
I think about her and she knows it
I wanna let her take control
'Cause every time that she gets close, yeah
She pulls me in enough to keep me guessing (hmm)
And maybe I should stop and start confessing
Confessing, yeah
Oh, I've been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back
There's nothing holdin' me back
There's nothing holdin' me back
She says that she's never afraid
Just picture everybody naked
She really doesn't like to wait
Not really into hesitation
Pulls me in enough to keep me guessing (whoa)
And maybe I should stop and start confessing
Confessing, yeah
Oh, I've been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back
There's nothing holdin' me back
'Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
'Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
Oh, I've been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back (oh whoa)
There's nothing holdin' me back
I feel so free when you're with me, baby
Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

It looks so cute the way its little wings are sticking out and those feet. Check out those little feet. This little one just dove head first right off the roof, no hesitation. What a brave little soul!

Maybe you are wondering how?

September 2022
On this morning in 2006 I was up early to see the sunrise and since it was low tide, I went exploring the rock pools on the beach. In one pool I saw what I thought was an octopus's tentacle. Scattered on the beach were dead or injured crabs, one of which I dropped into the pool where I thought an octopus may be hiding.
After some hesitation, the offer of food was too strong. The octopus emerged to gather up the dead crab. We established eye contact, the octopus wanted food and I wanted a photo. My eight legged friend ate quite well, while this is the best of the photos i took. The green object in this shot is the shell of a sea creature given to the octopus.
Octopuses are a family of cephalopods known for their intelligence, their uncanny ability to blend into their surroundings, their unique style of locomotion, and their ability to squirt ink. They are some of the most fascinating creatures in the sea, found in every ocean in the world, and every continent's coastal waters.
She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of the fear.
She let go of the judgments.
She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.
She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
She didn’t ask anyone for advice.
She didn’t read a book on how to let go.
She didn’t search the scriptures.
She just let go.
She let go of all of the memories that held her back. She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn’t promise to let go. She didn’t journal about it.
She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.
She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.
She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.
She didn’t call the prayer line.
She didn’t utter one word.
She just let go.
No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her.
No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort.
There was no struggle. It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.
No one was bold enough to attempt the hill, not even Scott Mulder, that kid that was in 5th grade. But Suzy was there and I needed to make an impression. I grabbed my wagon and strode confidently to the top of the hill and without a moments hesitation, jumped in and let gravity have her way! A few moments later, Suzy stood by me, gazing up at me with admiration. And for Scott Mulder, he was the king of 5th Grade, but today, right right now, he was a second grader.
Now Playing Endlessly
Such a pretty song...Thanks Matt for the song suggestion
She is my rock and my rolling thunder,
I've been the spell she was under,
I, I love that girl,
She is my cigarettes and champagne,
She's got me strong but I'm not running,
I, I love that girl,
I, I love that girl
She is the days I can't get over,
She is the nights that I call home,
Endlessly,
For you I'll always wait,
Caught in the waves of hesitation,
Lost in the sea of my own doubt,
Endlessly,
For you I'll always wait,
For you I'll always wait
She is the flames in the fire, she's raging,
I've been the spark in the war she's waging,
I, I love that girl,
She came along and she spoke so sweetly,
Changed everything, took my heart completely,
I, I love that girl
I, I love that girl
She is the days I can't get over,
She is the nights that I call home,
Endlessly,
For you I'll always wait,
Caught in the waves of hesitation,
Lost in the sea of my own doubt,
Endlessly,
For you I'll always wait
In city bars and empty cars,
It's 3am, I wonder where you are,
And the crooked smiles,
And the worn out miles between us,
And I wonder where you are
She is the days I can't get over,
She is the nights that I call home,
Endlessly,
For you I'll always wait,
Caught in the waves of hesitation,
Lost in the sea of my own doubt,
Endlessly,
For you I'll always wait
For you I'll always wait
For you I'll always wait
Whilst photographing the old red shed a couple of pictures back, I got talking to the farmer over the road who was interested in what I was doing and was happy to tell me some of the history of this area along Makino Road near Feilding. He then said I have an old settlers cottage on my property, would you like to photograph it? No hesitation to take up this offer and this is the tiny cottage which from memory he told me was lived in right up to the 1950's.

... no hesitation... I choose you. Over & over again!
I have a confession to make. To you. To us. To everyone that knows me and are dear persons in my little weird world...
I caught myself thanking you secretly for staying loyal. For sticking with me, even though we know I have my attitudes. To lift me up, repairing those wings of mine, so that for a little while I am able to fly and escape the dark world I find myself in.
There is something in your sayings, that gives me the strength to keep going. And the pushing through life, became so easy that I almost forget all my bad times.
For those little beautiful moments im thankful for. Also for you being rational, whenever my head is in the clouds, once again.
For allowing me to be - just that- myself and not having to doubt myself. For our little talks, where I dont have to goof around and can just be bold and forward. Direct without hesitation. Without having to worry that I could say something wrong and you would go away.
I truly believe, that I already gave you million reasons to escape from my cookie crumbled grabby fingers. But yet, I wake up to your smiles and the joy and cheerful you!
I love you. I do. And only we know, what that is that keeps us as we are.
I do not give a damn about those, that think they could even try to keep us apart. They dont know me as you do. They dont know you as I do and most important.. They dont know us, when being together.
I dont hide you. Im the first to step up and scream it out the top of my lungs. Well.. Unless im away... Than there is the "cage"... But thats another kind of story!
Is this a declaration of love? Or is it just late so that my mind creates are those beautiful messages?
No. This is the breathtaking moment that you wake up. Sip your coffee as you get ready for work... This is that very moment, where nothings ring in your ear besides the wind outside, or those birdies singing their tunes. This is that very moment, where your lips form a smile. And that Sunshine. Is my daily goal! That smile of yours! That is what I want. ♥

Song www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5Rlgu4L9J4
I could tell that it was over
When her lips met mine
It was an emptiness in her voice
Hesitation when she smiled
She didn't have to say a word
It was just so plain to see
She had found what she'd been looking for
And I knew it wasn't me
I saw goodbye in her eyes
I don't think I can change it
There's no way to disguise
We will never make it
Sometimes I feel like a clown
Who can't wash off his make-up
The life she wanted ‒ it was gone
Prince Charming ‒ I wasn't
But I would trade a thousand Babylons
To be in her arms tomorrow
Oh, but like the tide her love has come and gone
And it's time for me to go
I saw goodbye in her eyes
I don't think I can change it
There's no way to disguise
We will never make it
Now she sees right through me
Should I hold on to what we've got
Is it just a waste of time?
One thing that I know for sure
I saw goodbye in her eyes
I saw goodbye in her eyes
I know you got somebody new now
All my candles have burned out
He's gonna love the way you shine
So did I
So don't smile at me it ain't what you mean
(Goodbye)
With that goodbye in your eyes
I know that I can't change it (now you see right through me)
There's no way to disguise
We will never make it
I saw goodbye in your eyes
I know that I can't change it (now you see right through me, goodbye in your eyes!)
Should I hold on
We will never make it (now you see right through me, goodbye in your eyes!)
Should I hold on
Is it just a waste of time?
One thing that I know for sure
I saw goodbye in your eyes
I saw goodbye in your eyes
I know that it's over
As fall roars in over Southern Indiana, the cool morning air causes the warmer lake water to release fog. With there being so many restrictions, rules and new requirements over the past few years, I like so many have felt as if I have been placed in a box. Until recently, I would have allowed the mist/fog to detour what I tried to capture. And if I captured it, if it wasn’t in perfect focus it was discarded without hesitation.
Maybe its wisdom, maybe its foolish or maybe its just an old guy digging in his heels and saying no more boxes!
Choose to chase experiences, choose to keep looking for His beauty…even in the fog.
Life is truly full of surprises with its twists and turns 😙
I saw you standing there
At Pemberly Shores
That fateful day
I almost lost my way...
With no expectation,
I'll take this new road without hesitation
For now all I want is to enjoy the ride
Because I am true and have nothing to hide.

I am unwritten, can't read my mind,
I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand,
Ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten...
I break tradition, sometimes my tries
Are outside the line
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes,
But I can't live that way...
The rest is still unwritten...
The rest is still unwritten...
The rest is still unwritten...

Yes, I have a thing for these kinds of photos. I love transitional spaces - doors, arches, bridges, windows, etc. Hope they're not too repetitive.

Evening Dunes. © Copyright 2022 G Dan Mitchell.
Low dunes in soft evening side-light, Death Valley National Park.
Rather than being from a carefully planned and scheduled shoot, this photograph is something of a last-minute photograph of opportunity. We had spent the day in a somewhat remote location in Death Valley National Park, at the end of a long and rough backcountry road, where we had parked and hiked a few miles further into a canyon to photograph. The light in deep canyons tends to be best while the sun is still somewhat high in the sky, so we finished in the late afternoon and then drove out. We decided to stop for an early dinner and not worry about evening photography.
Later on we finished dinner and as walked back to the vehicle it occurred to me that there was just enough light that we might be able to squeeze in a bit of photography if we could quickly get to a nearby spot. So, with no hesitation, I drove us straight to a spot I’ve been to many times before. We immediately parked and started setting up equipment as the last bit of direct sunlight began to diminish on the landscape below. I exposed three frames before the light was gone, and this one ended up being usable. The soft light enhances the sensuous quality of all of those sand formations.

Jet Airliner
Steve Miller Band
Leavin' home, out on the road
I've been down before
Ridin' along in this big ol' jet plane
I've been thinkin' about my home
But my love light seems so far away
And I feel like it's all been done
Somebody's tryin' to make me stay
You know I've got to be movin' on
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
Don't carry me too far away
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
'Cause it's here that I've got to stay
Goodbye to all my friends at home
Goodbye to people I've trusted
I've got to go out and make my way
I might get rich you know I might bet busted
But my heart keeps calling me backwards
As I get on the 707
Ridin' high I got tears in my eyes
You know you got to go through hell
Before you get to heaven
Big ol' jet airliner
Don't carry me too far away
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
'Cause it's here that I've got to stay
Touchin' down in New England town
Feel the heat comin' down
I've got to keep on keepin' on
You know the big wheel keeps on spinnin' around
And I'm goin' with some hesitation
You know that I can surely see
That I don't want to get caught up in any of that
Funky shit goin' down in the city
Big ol' jet airliner
Don't carry me too far away
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
'Cause it's here that I've got to stay
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
Don't carry me too far away
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
'Cause it's here that I've got to stay
Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah
Big ol' jet airliner
Don't carry me too far away
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
'Cause it's here that I've got to stay
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
Carry me to my home
Oh, oh big ol' jet airliner
'Cause it's there that I belong
