Dogs love to get into the water. And the face of this dog in the lake says it all. His owner asked him to get out of the water and he decided to stay a little longer.

and the second when all the shots have been developed and printed and we have to reject the less effective ones. It is then – too late – that we see exactly where we have failed. When we are at work, a moment’s hesitation or physical separation from the event robs us of some detail; all too often we have let our eye wander, we have lost our concentration; that is enough :-)

"Action can cure fear and hesitation and doubt"

Quote - Lewis Howes

It has been several months since I collected this bird. I fed him, washed him, kept him warm, cradled him, cared for him. I taught him to spread his wings and use them, to make him realize that he was a bird and that his place was among his own: the seagulls.

I came to this beach for the sole reason of giving it back to Nature, to its nature.

I release him without a ring, without any other bond than what he will keep of me as a souvenir. I open the cage and I watch him fly away without hesitation, flying to join his fellows who immediately accept him into their ranks.

At the inaudible signal of one of the seagulls, the whole troop flies away in unison. All the birds are now high in the sky. I follow them with my eyes and can't stop thinking: "My beautiful bird, you take a piece of my soul with you to your freedom. I received this grace to have brought you back to life. I wanted you to learn how to fly and the opposite happens because, through you, I fly, we fly".

A keen young observer of the USA elections.

If a president of a developing nation would to declare that an election is over or that counting of votes should stop and publicly claim victory in a general election, most heads of government of developed nations would have made remarks that it is undemocratic and unconstitutional without hesitation.

However none of the heads of government of developed nations make such remarks when the current incumbent president of the USA said the same thing. Why?

Evening shot among the "Steps" (in Cornwall's north coast) and using a ND Grad filter - with the help of Matt Whorlow, a Cornish landscape photographer. Edited in Fuji's raw converter and refined in Luminar. The ND filter was hand-held and some reflections crept into the image. But I am happy with this photo, though I still feel that "landscape" is a difficult subject for me. When exploring this hesitation I am finding that I am somehow alienated from landscape/nature and that pretending that I could easily bridge the gap would not work. This is not about issues of skills or technique, it is about truth.

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

If I was told that I had to choose one city in which to reside for the rest of my life without the opportunity to ever travel again, I would choose Vancouver without hesitation. There are so many reasons for this choice, and they all stem from a peculiar, positive vibe that's been consistent with every visit since I first explored the city in November 2006.

Kit smiles at Una, while she waters the plants at the greenery...

Una smiles back, though noticing a sudden grin on Kit's face.

She looks closely at the plant and then to the floor to find out why. All of a sudden she sees the little puppy sleeping quietly under the plants.

While Kit's face grins even more as she tilts the watercan towards the puppy....

Una yels in hesitation : 'No you wouldn't do that, right ?

Kit smiles "No ofcourse I wouldn't do that, Una"

The quiet sense of something lost...-- Tennyson

_______________

That feeling where something is happening–a thread of your life is losing its elasticity and slipping from your grasp; it is slipping so quickly you cannot think of what to do, how to save it, and yet it is slipping so slowly, drawing out every question of hesitation, every second of regret.

I can’t be the only person who knows this feeling.

It is the sense that a crossroad is soon looming in the near horizon, ready to shake your foundation and force you to make a choice.

It is the sense that every word, every action, every decision will shape a little bit more of who you are and who you will become.

It is the sense that illuminates every weakness in you, every bit of traction inside of you.

It is, in the words of Tennyson, “the quiet sense of something lost.”

The neons all around us were exploding with bright lights, the smell of french fries mixed with grilled meat was tickling our nostrills. I was already drooling with hunger when she grabbed my hand and started running in the direction of the white car, laughing like a child on a Christmas day. She then stopped just in time and turned to me

"Do you remember the first time we came here and sat on this car roof ?"

"Yes I do, it was long ago" I replied with a smile

"One year, nine months and 25 days ago" She replied without a hint of hesitation. "And do you remember what I did ?"

"You made me jump on top of that car!"

She laughed and squeezed my hand gently "I promised you I'd be there through thick and thin, as a best friend would. Today I make the vow to stay through thick and thin, as a Lover would"

She sealed that vow with a deep and sweet kiss, her hand still hoding mine. I suddenly felt a gentle pull as she helped me up to sit on that roof once again, her pinky already holding mine firmly, the most delicate smile gracing her lips as we both closed our eyes to savour the moment.

One year, nine months and 25 days ago

I love you so much ♥

After some hesitation, this shy cardinal guy was kind enough to poke his head out of the dark shade and show off his colorful red crest.

Well what an incredible sunrise me and my three clients experienced this morning on my one day autumnal Lake District workshop at Windermere.

We were driving en-route to Rydal to shoot the tree when the colours in my minibus wing mirrors lit up with stunning pinks and blues. Without hesitation I decided to park up at Waterhead and walk down towards Holme Crag. It was an inspired choice due to the copious amounts of beautiful little boats that made for great subjects. Here's one such boat that enjoyed being surrounded by the mist that rolled on the surface of the water.

HUGE thanks to Carl, Dave and Dean for their company today. It was a really enjoyable day's photography and a quick hi to Chris Sale, a YouTube vlogger who I bumped into on the shoreline of Rydal mid-morning. It was great to chat with you Chris.

You can follow Chris's YouTube channel here and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to his channel if you like what you see. www.youtube.com/channel/UCaR849-KG86v4UgD52PLT4g

Okay, that's it for today. I will edit another image tomorrow from today's workshop and I shall make a start on my New Zealand blog including plenty of my 'yet to be seen' images. If you would like to be notified of my New Zealand blog ahead of my social media followers, please SUBSCRIBE to my newsletter by clicking on this link. Maybe sounds weird, but sometimes people feel alone in a crowd. I understand this kind of feeling because sometimes I found myself feeling that way.

As I said before, the afternoon I took this session, I was in an open dance club near the port.

The club has several floors and when I went up to the first floor I found this guy just doing nothing but looking at the horizon for a long time.

I thought it was a great moment of introspection that I shouldn't break, so quickly and carefully in silence, I took some photos without hesitation. This is the capture of that moment of stillness... Stillness Of Heart

Male White-tailed Deer.

This youngster was nibbling on some fresh grass in the park. I was so happy to see him approach me without hesitation and even pose for some good portrait photography. He went on his way after walking around me for about 10 minutes and went his way into the forest.

She Let Go

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of fear. She let go of the judgments.

She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.

She let go of the committee of indecision within her.

She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely,

without hesitation or worry, she just let go.

She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a

book on how to let go… She didn’t search the scriptures.

She just let go.

She let go of all of the memories that held her back.

She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.

She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.

She didn’t promise to let go.

She didn’t journal about it.

She didn’t write the projected date in her day-timer.

She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.

She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.

She just let go.

She didn’t analise whether she should let go.

She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.

She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.

She didn’t call the prayer line.

She didn’t utter one word. She just let go.

No one was around when it happened.

There was no applause or congratulations.

No one thanked her or praised her.

No one noticed a thing.

Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle.

It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad.

It was what it was, and it is just that.

In the space of letting go, she let it all be.

A small smile came over her face.

A light breeze blew through her.

And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.

Here’s to giving ourselves the gift of letting go…

WILD WOMAN SISTERHOOD

“We are always waiting, aren't we? All in a state of hesitation and held breath. Sometimes it's glorious like a storm at the end of a hot day.”

― Suzanne Hayes

I like trains, as you of you do too, but I like folding them even more ;-))

Because I had to use weird sizes, (like needed for the train engine 13x36,5cm, final size: length 8cm, height 3,5cm) I use white wrapping paper.

The folding sequence of both the train cars are rather the same, only in the end you collapse the roof or not ;-)

Papersize train cars: 13x17cm, final size length: 6cm, height open one 2,5cm, closed one 3,5cm.

And two coupling devices.

So here it is…. ... a white train. Hope you like it.
