Providing protect power for the Reading Ramble trip on Saturday was the same two 'Fast Freight' painted units I saw leading NRFF on Thursday. RBMN 5018 and 5019 (both rebuilt SD50-2s acquired from CSXT and Jan. 1983 and Mar. 1984 as Seaboard System 8507 and 8550 respectively) followed the huge steam special north on the way to Jim Thorpe and then tied on to the rear to assist with turning the train set after deboarding nearly 800 passengers. The duo pulled the 19 cars and two steam locomotives north out of town and over the old CNJ bridge and then the whole thing reversed direction to cross the new bridge spinning the train. Now the two EMD's are leading the train through the new interlocking at Jim Thorpe Junction (MP 120.9 on the Reading and Northern''s Lehigh Division Mainline) headed back down the branch into town.

WAHOOO! 500!

Thank you all so much for enjoying my creations and helping me reach this milestone.

Q&A!

Ask me some questions, besides where I live and all that.

Have a great day and stay healthy!

Dawn Wuest of the Willow Tree Carolers getting some fresh air into the studio at my first photo exhibit at Cincinnati’s famous Herzog Studio wayyyyy back in March 2018. So long ago that I forgot I took this with my phone. The band has disbanded a bit but she and Brandon Martin play as the WTC duo. This is the same Dawn from a shoot back in 2016 at Pepper Pod in Newport, Kentucky, playing the violin while sitting on the lunch counter. Great pictures are helped tremendously by a great subject that’s for sure!!!

Multitool hands, wide-band optics, and ion thrusters for attitude control.

It's always nice to have a helping hand around. Especially when you need someone to hand you a tool.

this little redpoll slammed into the window yesterday afternoon! I have cd's hanging if front of all my windows, but she still went down! i didn't think she was going to make it ... I held her in my hands for about a half hour, blowing warm air on her - then her little legs started to move, so I put her in a small box - after about another 10 minutes, she got up on the edge of the box, took a look around and was gone:-) my husband was holding the little one when I snapped this shot!

One of the lovely things about travelling in China is the way people wear traditional dress, esepcially to historic sites and on major holidays. This shot was taken in Beijing's Round City in Golden Week.

The imperial Round City is a garden next to, but independent of, the famous Beihai Park, and not far from the Forbidden City. It contains several historic buildings.

You are responsible for your life and if you're sitting around waiting on somebody to save you to fix you to even help you

You are wasting your time because only you have the power to take responsibility to move ypur life forward

What matters is now this moment and your willingness to see this moment for what it is accept it forgive the past take responsibility and move forward .

I came to realize that all the time i was praying to God

Asking for God to do something

God was waiting on me

Reminding me that THIS is his bin....and it is morning nap time! Happy Caturday!

I had a lot of highlights on my weekend trip. I however will love this one the most. My husband who drove me around helping me find locations was the spotter of this Snowy Owl this was his first ever sight of a snowy and he was totally thrilled to have spotted it for me. I think that is what made it so awesome. He rolled down his window and was going to listen to for the sandhills and when he did the owl was right out side his window. Yes this owl is this close. It is also not quite light enough to take this photo. I had an iso of 2000 shutter of 15 and I am hand holding my canon 100 400 ii. I couldn't get a tripod out of the back so I shot from out of the car behind the car. I was able to get about 7 shots before another vehicle parked right in front of my view which made the owl fly. I am glad out of the 7 shots two were not blurry. If you know this refuge and you see snowy's please give them space. from what I have been reading they are starving.

I was home early yesterday and decided to sit down and write out my Christmas cards - more words! Although I love the written word; when it comes to me actually physically writing I am atrocious at it. Friends and family always have difficulty deciphering my dreadful handwriting and these days with e-mail and smart phones there is rarely the need to use a pen so it has become even more appalling. Kaiser could see I was struggling and decided to lend a hand.

Happy Furry Friday everyone.

The weather will be kind to us this weekend so we may get out and about.

Wishing you all a happy and dry weekend

One morning my son rescued this Hummingbird from our cat's . We think it flew into our house window and was dazed. We brought it in the house to join us for coffee and watch the news while it recovered. After a half hour or so we placed the hummingbird on our climbing rose bush and said our goodbye's.
