Hello,
Thank you so very much for your interest in volunteering with us! We can certainly use your help! Please mark your calendars for our cleanup of the Historic Bread and Cheese Creek on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine, we clean up the section of Historic Bread and Cheese Creek from the Berkshire Area to North Point Road. Registration will be at 2408 Plainfield Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. This event will be run in conjunction with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Annual Project Clean Stream and American River’s Nation River Cleanup as well as Reclaim the Bay! We have also attached an event flyer for your use.
We run our cleanups as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We welcome every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we need people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to help at registration, setup food and snacks as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. We will provide lunch and snacks as well as gloves. A limited number of tools are available for sign-out, but suggest bringing your own if you have them
Volunteers are also needed to arrive early and stay late for setup and break down. Photographers and Videographers also needed!

Hey guys my name is James and I was hoping if you guys, from all over the world, can help me find my old friend.
I am 24 years old today (September 23) and I grew up in New York State my entire life.
I've been repeatedly thinking over and over for the past couple of years about finding her and never got the chance to really begin my search.
Her first name is pronounced 'Thalia' and we both attended the same pre-school(P.S. 8) together at Bronx, New York.
Ever since I moved away, I have lost contact and really want to see her again.
Her family is from Brazil and she was the cutest girl in the planet.
She has two brothers (one older & one younger) and her father attended Fordham University at the time.
Unfortunately, I do not know her last name at all and I have been contacting the school but it has been of no help.
I spoke with my mother and she thinks that she might have moved back to Brazil with her family.
Currently, I am lost and do not know how else I can find her other than to post a picture of her here.
Please, if you know her or somehow can give me some pointers in ANYWAY, I would really appreciate the help.
If you can help me spread the word (this post), I would really love that.

Please help clean up the historic shoreline of Bear Creek and Chalesmont Park where both the British and American set up defensive positions during the War of 1812, Battle of North Point. The British also used this location to evacuate their wounded and POW’s. Charlesmont Park was also the location were the Veterans of the War of 1812 celebrated Defender’s Day for over 75 years! This event will be run in conjunction with American Rivers, Trash Free Maryland and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay as part of their Annual Project Clean Stream Event.
Registration will be located at the intersection of Park Haven and Creek Road (Near Bear Creek Elementary School), Dundalk, MD 21222. Looks for the registration tents and the “Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Banners. Registration will open at 8:00 am, and the cleanup will run from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.

I know it looks like the juggler threw the pin at the kid, but actually the kid was trying to toss the pin to the juggler and ended up throwing it straight up and then down onto his own head. It was cute. He was fine.
Here are the six test shots I took in one early November afternoon, developed last week at Intrepid Studios with help from my colleague Dan.
Throughout the process of designing the Intrepid film holder this year (which can be seen on my IG account @wikhasi) I’ve ended up with a respectable album of 4x5” negatives.
Each cassette holds two photos- one either side, and must be completely light tight.
It needs to endure all kinds of weather and handling without exposing the negatives inside, it has to be lightweight and portable and easy to use.
For our purposes, it also has to be straightforward to build and repeatable without testing every single unit… it’s been a surprisingly difficult journey.
These are photos 86 to 92; and by the time this product is released I will have shot well over 100.
It’s weird to compare the colossal amount of work it’s taken to shoot 100 large format negatives vs how easily I could take 100 photos on my iPhone.
I don’t think there’s any point in pitting them against each other though, in my mind they’re both legitimate forms of photography and the creative process is about picking the right tool for the job.
Ultimately I’m just excited about making cool things.

The fourth day of the Help for Heroes Big Battlefields Bike Ride fromParis to London. The day commenced from Le Touquet and proceeded to Etaples, which had been home to the British Army's largest training camp during the Second World War, as well as having military prisons and hospitals. Here, in the War Cemetary at Etaples, in front of a memorial designed by Edwin Lutyens, a wreath laying ceremony was conducted. Lunch was taken just north of Boulogne, beside the Canadian Military Cemetary where Lt. Col. John McCrae was buried and a second wreath laying ceremony was held. Finally, before arriving at Calais, there was a visit to Mimoyecques, an old quarry from which the Germans created a substantial subterranean base, to house their V3 rocket, with which they hoped to destroy London. Friday 31st May 2013.
Please help me ID her. I thought she was Fiona Hamilton from the Runway Gio but she is a bit different. She is taller than my M9 and her head is in a different position. Her arms are probably incorrect because they won't go to her side. They only fit by sticking out as pictured. She just arrived and is making me crazy! Thanks for your help.
Students from the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy worked hard to remove invasive species and restore the area surrounding a bird viewing blind at Trinity River Audubon Center. They removed roughly 300 to 500 square feet of brush around the bird blind to increase visibility, and at the same time create bird-friendly habitats. Two large brush piles were created near the bird blind. This will provide feeding grounds and shelter for many wintering birds. After almost three hours of hard work, they took a victory hike to the river and discussed the significance of their efforts.
