University of the Pacific's Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Science's held its 20th annual health fair for area fifth graders on Friday. Nearly 200 kids from the Lodi Unified School district spent a few hours at the school learning about health hazards in the home (poison and allergans), the benefits of exercise and proper eating, how to avoid germs, and how a heart works. The kids were able to look inside actual sheep hearts and it was explained how those hearts are similar to human hearts. The kids also were treated to a fair where they played games that had health-related themes.

Natalie is co-owner with Kizil of Cricket & Company in Ottawa's Byward Market District. Cricket & Company caters to the dogs and cats of Ottawa's downtown core. Natalie is extremely outgoing and really fun to talk to, she obviously loves the business she is in and is very knowledgeable indeed. Natalie is originally from Toronto and decided to attend the University of Ottawa in the Health Sciences Programme, she then changed course and went into Social Sciences. Her main interests are animal behaviour and animal nutrition. The next move was to take the leap and open up Cricket & Company with her friend Kizil. Cricket & Company has only been open a short time but the women who run it are extremely enthusiastic and very focused.
Thank you Natalie for taking the time to chat and being such a good sport for letting me take your photograph.
I wish you and Kizil all the success in the world in your new business. I will drop by with Nyles the Frenchie to ensure you get his five star rating.
Cricket & Company can be found on Facebook at Cricket & Company. Their instagram tag is cricket&company
