The College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Hartford held its fourth annual ENHP Day on April 22, 2015 to showcase student and faculty scholarly and research endeavors. The daylong event featured 108 student and faculty presentations, keynote speakers Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz (Teachers College at Columbia University) and Dr. Maria Itayra Padilha (Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil), conferring of the first "excellence through relevance Faculty Research Award" to Dr. Beth Taylor, an early childhood education mixer, and a fun reception for all.

On Thursday, July, 21st, Spartanburg Community College's Department of Health and Human Services held a joint pinning ceremony for their summer graduates.

On Feb. 15, 2019, about 70 preceptors for WSU Applebaum’s health sciences programs were treated to a night at the DIA as a token of the college’s appreciation for the professional training they provide to our students on a volunteer basis.

University of the Pacific's Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Science's held its 20th annual health fair for area fifth graders on Friday. Nearly 200 kids from the Lodi Unified School district spent a few hours at the school learning about health hazards in the home (poison and allergans), the benefits of exercise and proper eating, how to avoid germs, and how a heart works. The kids were able to look inside actual sheep hearts and it was explained how those hearts are similar to human hearts. The kids also were treated to a fair where they played games that had health-related themes.
