More housecleaning...
Believe it or not, this was actually v.1 of the suit that eventually became the Archangel, and it shares the same basic internal structure. It could have probably used a final coat of polish or a gun or something, but I just snapped a few pics and moved on.
This was a cool find as we drove down the Iowa Interstate Railroad outside Iowa City: a push-pull trainset with ex-Metra bi-levels operated by Iowa Northern Railway. The train picks up passengers who park in Coralville, IA and takes them right to the football stadium on the campus of Iowa University during home games. The train is powered by two F40's including this Rock Island heritage unit, IANR 678. It was built in 1977 for Amtrak.
A real panicking among our small resident birds yesterday, caused by a brief visit to our back garden from this Sparrowhawk!!!
The camera wasn't ready, so I only managed a few rather poor quality shots of him!

Another shot from my NAS Fallon shoot. This E-2C is from VAW-125 the "Tigertails". This "painted bird" belongs to the Squadron Commander.
Among the first 12 images to come out of my father's old Brownie Hawkeye in over 40 years. This is in the PSC scrapyard near the Shelby Bridge.
He lives around here. I usually see him in one of the trees down by the creek, but he gets around. I named him "Hawkeye" because he can see me coming from a mile away, and when he does, he takes off flying in the opposite direction.
I think I may be most proud of this shot, because I hunted this guy down! He must of been pissed at me though because he was trying to eat and Im running through tick and misquito infested fields to grab a shot =-)
Also, it was OVERCAST, so the sky was completely white, and I used this sky texture from Ghostbones to simulate a blue sky day!
I would reallllly love it if one of my non-365 shots made Explore so fav away friends =-)

The most photographed Hawkeye on the planet going by the number of people that have come up to Lossie to see it over the last week or so. But it is nice to see and hear.

Hello all,
I will have a small number of Hawkeye cowls for people who want them.
They use a different type of 3D printing and are very, very close to injection molded quality. They come in an orange color so they will need to be painted or sprayed. So this is really for the guys who do a lot of that stuff.
FM or leave a comment if interested.
Thanks,
Myles
