Same train, seconds apart. This is what happens when I can't make up my mind. That is real sunlight painting the nose in the mono version.

Having to settle for an old shot tonight. Took this at the end of summer last year, round Buttermere.

Again taken in very harsh light!

Another image from the couple of days snow we had at month ago. Whilts it was a shame that travel was limited, at least it did force me to explore local spots. Not a perfect image, as the harsh back-light does cause some minor issues ... that I've decided to ignore.

This was taken just a couple of minutes before sunset, if that. The harsh shadows are gone from most of the mountains and the warm colors are really enhanced by the last of the light.

Last really warm day of the season today. This afternoon at the Oosterdokskade

I spent my morning on a big lake, on the lookout for some birds but, not a single one but two lethargic mallards, showed up. So, I went for a walk on the side of a creek flowing in it. There I came across this grey heron and was able to raise my camera right before it took off.

A harsh reality of irresponsible anglers who left their fish hooks lying around at its habitat.

One of 220 shots from this evening aimlessly trying to direct light onto my face. This was my pick of the bunch. Flash 1 fired through an opaque funky lightshade gelled blue @24mm 1/64. Camera right pointing at the right hand side of my head. Flash 2 fired through socked and skirted beauty dish on 1/32 power directly above my head pointing down. Flash 3 sat on the fridge snooted and gelled red 1/16 power @105mm missing my head completely :)

Into LR for some considerable fettling and sliding of sliders.

This is number 342 of my 365.

Another guess on metering with Sunny 16; adjusted a bit to f/11 to get a bit more of the bike. Having fun shooting without a meter.
