... Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday.
Two of the trees in my Nature Reserve or over the road in the car park, with some lovely blue stuff.
Better viewed large, and thank you for your favourites. :)
Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday. and Happy Telegraph Tuesday.
Looking up at my favourite Corkskrew tree and catching the telegraph pole too. Hope this counts for both groups.

Last Friday after several days of rain, we stopped by a local park as a few patches of blue sky began to appear through the Live Oaks...brightened our day!
Guadalupe Oak Grove Park protects one of the city's last remaining groves of heritage oak forests. Blue Oaks, Valley Oaks and the Coast Live Oak are found here and some of the trees are over 300 years old. It is also home to many species of wildlife.
The lands of this park were once home to the Ohlone Indian Tribe.
This gigantic stump is located at McKee Botanical Gardens, Vero Beach, Fl.
The plaque alongside the stump reads as follows:
"Hidden in the undergrowth for 20 years, this historic cypress stump is still in the exact spot where Waldo Sexton placed it in the early 1930s. The tree, retrieved from a swamp and carried across the state on a flatbed truck, was said to have been 2,000 years old and over 100 feet high when it was cut."

I know I've taken this tree before, but I just love the twisty trunk.

It doesn't show up so well in this photo, but when it's sunny this tree has two shades of green to it. Light and dark and looks lovely.

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are always much appreciated!
A Horse Chestnut tree. It never seems to produce any large chestnuts, sadly.

A huge tree with its leaves. You may have seen this one before, but it's a beauty, so please forgive me.

"...an oak savanna is a type of savanna—or lightly forested grassland—where oaks (Quercus spp.) are the dominant trees..." (Wikipedia)
I'd never heard that term before until I met the oak savanna in Fort Steilacoom Park. Many of the oak trees in this oak savanna look like they stepped right out of the King Arthur/Middle Age legends. Here are a couple of mossy oak trees that appear to be reaching out to each other!
Happy Tree-Mendous Tuesday!!
The Corkscrew Tree in our nearest neighbour's garden is still in leaf. The leaves are now beginning to turn colour, but as yet not dropping off.

Rab C is sitting in tram-lines in this barley field, I wouldn't let the dogs sit in the barley as the barley ears are quite dangerous to them.

In fact, try as we may to make a silence, we cannot."

Happy TREE-mendous Tuesday
A Mimosa tree taken back in October, when I thought it odd to see it in flower. I found one flowering the other day!

Digging into the October archives, they might as well get used.

The Mimosa tree that we can just see from our garden. Although sadly it's lost all its flowers in the rain we've had.

Having raced over to my nature reserve to get my photo for Crazy Tuesday, I also stopped to get one for Tree-mendous Tuesday.
The only problem with taking photos in the car park during the Summer months is, that it's full of tourists!!
Damp and horrible out all day.

I love this park because they have wonderful trees, and a great riverwalk from which to watch the sunset. The bonus is the drum circle which I believe gathers every Sunday. This one was much larger, more drums, than others I've had the pleasure to experience. I'm crazy about drums, and love hearing them bid farewell to the sun!

Weston-super-Mare is a seaside resort, town and civil parish in Somerset, England. It is located on the Bristol Channel coast, 18 miles south west of Bristol, spanning the coast between the bounding high ground of Worlebury Hill and Bleadon Hill.
Right next to the sea I saw this tree growing against the odds in a retaining wall. Sorry for late submission, we spent the day at the beach...
