Left alone in the back of a shed, this saw has rusted badly. The saw's decay is emphasised. Processed in Snapseed after initial processing in Lightroom, Photoshop and On1 RAW. Taken with a Samyang 100mm f2.8 macro on a Fuji X`T2. Lit with a feathered 150cm octobox.
made for mothers day out of Curly American Cherry, I had to get out the high angle 55 degree plane for this to prevent tearout but it was an enjoyable project.

Ginger Rotten: Hey guys, can't you see me? I want to help my crew but I've gone invisible!
========================
In the last iteration, Ginger was literally invisible. Today I have added a transparent image to the scene.

Constructing the Auckland to Wellington Railway line
The North Island Main Trunk (NIMT) is the main railway line in the North Island of New Zealand, connecting the capital city Wellington with the country's largest city, Auckland.
The first section of what became the NIMT opened in 1873 in Auckland. Construction at the Wellington end began in 1885. The line was completed in 1908 and was fully operational by 1909.

Janelle taking a crack at the circular saw at the Sexy Power Tools Photoshoot in my garage on 10/5/19. Janelle did her own hair and makeup.
The main light was a DigiBee800 to Janelle's left, fired into a small, gridded Chimera strip bank, set to about 1/2 power. I used a large white foam core board to her right and slightly behind her to fill shadows on her side facing the camera. If you look closely at the back of her right arm, there is a trace of light from a rim light, a Canon 550EX atop my water heater fired at 1/128 power and covered with a twice folded white handerchief; the flash head zoom setting was at 70mm. Both lights were triggered with Pocket Wizards.
Canon 70D and Canon EF 50mm f1.8 STM lens. ISO 200, f5.6 at 1/125 second.

Another view of this fun-to-photograph hand drill.
Subject
An old hand-drill. I keep it on my boat so that I don't have to rely on battery power in case of emergency. Hand drills have saved my bacon more than once when sailing.
Lighing
It's the Sun. Really, really bright South Florida sunshine!
Lens
SMC PENTAX-FA Macro 100mm F2.8
It's a great lens for macro work, and a darn sharp telephoto to boot.

A shot from my woodworking workshop (my wife still believes it's a garage for cars!). Some Lie-Nielson's among them. See Lie-Nielson's web page here: www.lie-nielsen.com/. These are modeled after the old Stanley planes.
I also have two wondeful Steve Knight planes ( knight-toolworks.com/ ) which don't fit on these shelves: www.flickr.com/photos/question_everything/3566083287/. I don't know why but I truely love the wooden planes, maybe more than the more expensive metal ones here......

These are stored in a small area behind some drawers. The drawers are on the other side of this bench. I used the gap between the back of the drawers and the back of the bench for these small utility shelves, or boxes.
Today I made my first picture frame, made from quarter sawn beech, finished with shellac sanding sealer then tung oil/turps mix to pop the grain.
This was a present for my brothers cat Penny who sadly died recently, aged 19 years old, it is printed on Hahnemühle Photorag 308 fine art paper and is 8" x 8" size, my first photo print since film days!
