I made these beads cutting strips from a clay sheet wth ripple blade and then worked as filigree technique.
This is motif#6 : in this case I've first designed the pattern, planning the number of knots using the drawer tool on my PC. Then, I've used 2 shuttles obtaining a diameter of about 4,5cm. Thread is DMC 80. I think this method is reasonably effective, so I'll use it again.

upcycled white leather, hearts stamped & coloured with pigment ink then hand polished
black leather closure attached with gunmetal rivets & a silver heart locket with a emerald crystal (for calming, balancing & nourishing) inside attached with split rings, a silver bead has been secured to the end
hand sewn in longstitch & kettlestitch with black Irish waxed linen thread
papers are acid free grey wash 90gsm, conquerer laid grey 100gsm & Ecocern post consumer 105gsm, edges have been trimmed sections pressed overnight
the first page has a small black handmade envelope attached & hand stamped (hero arts) with heart postage in black archival ink
pages - 180 (360 both sides)
journal - 22cm X 15.5cm X 4.5cm spine
