The Handeckfall bridge was built in 2006. It connects the hotel Handeck with the bottom station of the Gelmerbahn funicular and crosses over a little waterfall of the Aare river. The bridge is smaller and constructed much easier than the powerful Skywalk on the Sattel, but it's equally much fun. Grimsel Handegg, Switzerland, August 9, 2010.

How many Denver Broncos does it take to change a lightbulb?
Only one - unless it's a blowout, then they all show up.
On the way back with the funicular from the Gelmer-lake down to Handegg, it moves forward now. And it's very advisable to take place on the front bench, because it is the steepest funicular in Europe. The journey takes about 12 min. Grimsel Handegg, Switzerland, August 9, 2010.

Those who had not yet enough thrills with the Gelmerbahn furnicular, they can go over this suspension bridge at the bottom station. The bridge has a length of 70 m and crosses at a height of 70 meters a small waterfall. It's the most direct path from the funicular to the hotel Handeck and the bus stop. View from the Gelmerbahn funicular between Grimsel pass road and Gelmersee to the Golegghorn. The wavy tracks are reminiscent of a roller coaster, but it's just slow-moving with 1-2 m/s depending on the load. Switzerland, August 9, 2010.
In a turn of events that is sure to calm this city down from Seahawks Mania, the team utterly destroyed the Denver Broncos 8 to 43 at the Super Bowl,

This is a beautiful – but nameless - mountain lake below the Grueben Alpine Hut on 2334 m. In order to change this unpleasant situation, I "officially" named it Laghetto di Grueben.

My first american football game that I was photographing (or even seeing) Trojans vs. Ghost Hunters in Turku Finland. I got a few decent shots in the game this was one of them.
The weather was favoring me big time. First heavy clouds but still bright and late in the game raining (for drama).
This was one of my favourite shots from the game. Double Trouble, bone crushing hard tacle just where my lens was pointed at ;)
Im hoping that for next season I can photograph more of Trojans games in Turku. (Trojans management can you hear me?)

So we had great weather last weekend and i decided to go to Gelmersee.
It's a real adventure :-)
Wikipedia:

it's a bee, on a thistle.
as before, more good news for the sane and decent people of toronto - another complaint has been filed with the city's integrity commissioner, janet leiper, over the only-temporary mayor's newest ethical and financial transgression. ms. leiper, it should be noted, is possibly lacking the fortitude required to smack the fraud in the manner he deserves, but hope springs eternal.
and, as mentioned previously, dumbass the soon-to-be-fired mayor managed to screw up reading vital documents meant to help him do his job properly.
in today's inbred etobicoke hillbilly news, we learn that he's been illegally allocating resources to his own personal pet projects, diverting money and time on the clock (his own and that of hired helpers, so it's all paid for by residents of the city, of course) to the sports team where he grooms new punching bags to replace his wife. remember all that gravy that this malignant bigot crowed about when he began his slow waddle for mayor? there it is, all in one greasy bucket, and being consumed by the lying, thieving, myopic shitbag for whom 350 000 morons voted. this alone should be grounds for dismissal, though i'd settle for a public execution, incineration of the corpse and sterilisation of the entire bloodline.
in most of the places i've worked and volunteered, i have to read the conflict of interest agreements, answer questiuons that show my understanding of these documents, and sign a statement swearing that i will abide by them, under penalty of dismissal and potential legal action against me by my employers. it's odd that the city does not or would not have similar measures in place - would anyone who works for the city care to comment? i'd also be terminated if my employers discovered that while i was on their clock, i decided to fuck off and coach a game of steroid handegg or any other damned thing that wasn't expressly part of my job description, not to mention complicating matters by stealing resources in the form of other employees to assist me in cheating my bosses.
this fuckhead is our employee - it's time he was fired and imprisoned.
