This drill is about 35 years old, still works, is still in use and has never needed any maintenance.
The red part is the bit that you turn by hand and has been unscrewed from the drill to reveal the insides. You can see top left where it screws onto. It's a really simply and effective tool.

Well, I must confess that I'm very good at fixing all kinds of things in the house, and that I know a lot about tools, a girl as clumsy as I should know how to fix things too. :)
I was "spinning" the theme #HandTools trying to make some original photo, and while I was playing with my nephews a visual game I thought about spinning that disc in a screwdriver.... yes, a little twisted idea ...

A woodworker's paradise! Since I have started woodworking myself a couple of month ago, I am enhancing my workshop continuously. Unfortunately, I don't have too much space so I am dreaming of a big workshop with all neceassary (or nice to have) machines and handtools. So, It was obvious that I need to build it in LEGO! In an way a blueprint for my own workshop which just needs to be a little more condensed.
Can you find and name the differnt machines and tools?
I have tried my best to reproduce them as good as possible in LEGO. Let me know what you recognize!

I was so sick this weekend I didn't think I was going to be able to post anything. I was using last night and I do feel a good bit better today. Thankfully I made it home from work in time to shoot this one.

My wife is preparing this evening's dinner ~ I'm guessing we're having a pasta dish as she's going to "mash" up some garlic cloves ... nice and smelly!!

I made this on Sunday, so it's really new!
I am still working through my pile of scrap wood and offcuts from other projects, and have challenged myself to make something small each week for fun.
I used a forstner bit to clean out the bulk of the material, then used a downcut router bit to tidy up the bottom of the tray.
The inside sides were then cleaned up by hand with a chisel. Finished with Danish Oil.
Bought a Hex Key set today, as the bolts on my office chair needed tightening, and the ones I had were not doing a good job. I got a unit with all the keys built in to a handle, and that has these discs that allow you to select the angle of the key. The notches ensure that the key stays put...
They also allowed me to make this chair more solid than I think it has EVER been!
Ce tournevis interchangeable est en marche et ne peut plus s'arrêter. Les effets Bokeh apparaissent de partout et donnent une ensemble abstrait. #Macro #HandTool #MacroMonday #HMM

The 6/11/18 topic for Macro Mondays is Hand Tool, and while the small piece of this tool shown here is probably unrecognizable to most, it is a tool that I used a lot back in my woodworking days, 30 or more years ago. It is a 2¾ inch portion of a spoke shave (see the whole thing in the first comment). I could never stand a straight line and was always shaving off the edges in order to create more flowing, sculptured lines, and this spoke shave saw a lot of action. Unfortunately, after a few decades rattling around in the back of my tool drawer, it's looking pretty battered now, but in its time, it served me well.

This tiny screwdriver is 1.75 inches long. I have put a camera memory card in the foreground to further illustrate the screwdriver's size. It is not a toy. It came with a battery powered digital refrigerator thermometer. I had bought 2 sets (two in each set) of these thermometers, each came packaged separately and each has this little screwdriver: so I have four of them! It's used to open the back to replace the button-like battery each thermometer has.
