Dreamy, delicate and feminine is what describes this Ada Hand Embroidered Fawn Cotton Lucknow Chikankari Kurti.
I found this one to be really hard going. Even with the online tutorials it took me a lot of head scratching, crossing fingers and loads of time. So many pieces! I swore I wouldn't make it again but if I don't try soon I'll forget everything I learned! Brown linen (bit too thin) from JoAnns, contrasts a thicker linen that I don't have the name of in front of me...
Handmade by me based on Etsy seller DMK Easy Wear's Reversible Ribbon Jacket pattern. A soon to be birthday gift for an adorable little girl.
Made of pink polar fleece lined with Japanese cotton fabric. Did not include ribbons but instead used heart appliques to match the lining.

Finally got the book from the publisher. Check it out at Random House or Amazon! It`s called "Hatheads"
This is me at 31 weeks - dress is tied at the back. I am fairly happy with it - couldn't help myself and had to do it in the same fabric that Anna Maria did in the book - it's winter here in Australia so I have teamed it with a long sleeved tee, tights and boots - wore to work today and got some nice compliments!!!

Living in California, I know a thing or two about earthquakes. Having only experienced a 6.something at the high end I can say that it left me frazzled for a month or so. Knowing that Japan has experienced not one, but many extreme quakes in succession has me marveling at the tenacity of the survivors. My thoughts, along with many other people around the globe are with you. I sense the strength and the loss, the positive with the despair. For this I have stitched up a reminder, knotted together for what I had on hand, pieced and strung and braided and bonded. This is my tribute.

First off is the finished pair of Spring Forward socks done in Sunshine Yarns' May Flowers colorway.
Originally, I started these for the Sunshine Yarns Spring KAL in April, but then life happened and they took a bit longer than expected. I love the way that they turned out, though, and have worn them a couple of times already and they're super comfy. I was worried that I had made the second one too big width-wise, but once they're on, you can't tell at all. I'm definitely investing in more of Dani's sock yarn, though. She's got awesome colors and the yarns that I already have are super squishy and delicious!!
Finally finished the 2nd sock! Crocheted with Patons Stretch Socks yarn. For more info, see my blog post.
The boys and I decided to try our hand at puppet making. They designed them and I helped Gideon sew/assemble his and did most of Toby's. It was a learning process, but I think they came out pretty well! I sort of want to make more already.
Oh yes, collected them today and they are fab, remember we have one table left, no jewellery or textiles though!!
