One of my favourite poses, with early teenage ambitions of Arnoldesque arms driving me to excessive arm workouts through my adolescent training...to the neglect of my hamstrings, which didn't taste the torments of a Deadlift until I was 21-22 years old. This is evident again here.
We spent our day off at the lake today. This was taken at Mansfield Dam Park. Check out how much higher the water is now compared to 14 months ago. All that rain in the spring and early summer was a blessing.
We also got stopped by the game warden on our way back to the marina.
Bonus: I'm such a wuss and so out of shape that I think I slightly strained my right hamstring trying to slalom ski. I'm not in pain, but it feels a little weird.

Nunn, who had already qualified for Team USA in the 50K race walk for the London Olympic Games, used the event as a training walk and stopped around the 10k mark with a nagging hamstring. New York Athletic Club's Trever Barron, a 19-year-old from Colorado Springs, Colo., won the 20-kilometer walk with an American record time of 1 hour, 23 minutes and .10 seconds. Most people don't move the barbell past the point where it is parallel to your body, thereby not getting the full results of the exercise. But, when it comes to bicep curls, the strongest part is the top half. The problem can be solved by performing barbell curls in a seated position. When doing squats, be wise. The bar should rest across your back near the center of your trapezoidal muscles. This places more demand upon your glutes, hamstrings, and hips, which can help you squat more weight than you originally could. Make sure you watch your diet will you build muscle. For example, ensure you're getting adequate hydration as your muscles are made up of a whopping seventy percent water. Also steer clear of alcohol, as that is known to increase the breaking down of muscle tissues when consumed in excessive amounts. Try to make sure that you get enough protein in your day. You should try to get around 20-30 grams of protein at each meal. Spreading protein out will help you in achieving your protein needs. For a goal of 180 grams, each of your six daily meals should contain at least 30 grams of protein.
