She had been waiting for him…
She saw him. She knew.
With long strides, she drew closer — could it be him?
She paused for a moment, careful not to scare him…
Then she sat beside him, with quiet gravity,
And from that moment on, she never left his side.
forever, since we had 6 plants pulled out to make room for a wildflower garden!! I would never have done this, but for the past 4-5 years, I was lucky to get 3-4 flowers in total... I'd rather see happy butterflies and bees instead of round bushes that just stand there and don't attract any insects!!
Had a real nice day with Chas en Rems! Wandering around some old abandoned factory with a lot of great spots! This was my part! Check the blog report on the LL-Blog! loveletterscollective.blogspot.com/2011/09/writers-paradi...
I had to contend with some serious backlighting with this one, so it has been rescued a little with some extra sliding in my editing program. This was one of the hundreds of galahs that visited the tall trees in and around the caravan park by the Murray river in Mannum, South Australia. Bright, cheerful, noisy and endlessly entertaining! Hard not to love them!
Happy Feathery Friday!
We had reports of one Snow Bunting along the coast. I tried my luck and found this nice male early that morning. It was my first time seeing this beautiful species. Never thought I'd see one in my area. A nice lifer addition! Went to check a couple days later and he has migrated. Talk about luck!
I had expected a fine morning but didn't expect the mist. Otherwise I would have got out of the house even faster. But this was the almost weird sight as I headed over from Biddulph Moor towards Rudyard. Strangely beautiful.
I was in two minds to crop the foreground out. What do you think?
We had a wander around the back roads of Dorset yesterday and I had to stop and take a few shots of the very photogenic barn at Sixpenny Handley. It used to be surrounded by flowering rapeseed but still looks pretty good now the flowering has finished..

We had such strong wind in the last couple of days that most of the snow blew away, so that the fields are bare. Most of it blew until it filled in roads and then turned brown as gritters covered it. So I had to search hard this morning to find some white stuff in an interesting form. Fortunately I wandered towards the higher locks at Bosley to discover that where the snow had been blown off the fields it had curled over the top of the lock side creating a lovely overhang
and the spoken word had before. And is that they seem to be absolutely real :-)

I have had little motivation to railfan locally lately but sometimes things just fall into place. Was driving home from visiting family and saw from the highway this Q210 departing Lawrenceville TDSI, I flipped on the scanner and heard "lead engine Eighty Eight garble garble". A quick check with a friend in the know revealed that it was indeed a SD40-2 leading. I headed to the Tanyard Creek trestle in north Atlanta and hoped he would run this way as there are two routes trains off the Abbeville sub can take. Train went the right way, sun was out and a SD40-2 was in the lead, one shot and I was happy. CSX Q210 at Ardmore Park crossing Tanyard Creek on the Abbeville Sub.
Had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in the Davis, WV area. The falls were very pretty with the fall color.
I had two different ones, fake ice cream and this one a tiny bowl of real ice cream, I thought I had it all set up but this was the first click and by the third click it was flat and running over the bowl. I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream.
I had met this gentleman before. I believe that his memory is compromised. When there is noise on High Street (there was thunderclap and then hail) he steps out and looks. If addressed, he is quite willing to talk. He also allowed me to do his portrait. He is a friendly man. And curious. Fuji X-E2 plus Mitakon Speedmaster at F0.95.
Today I had a really interesting walk up a couple of smaller hills. The first one was Windy Hill in the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park follwed by a walk to the old Barytes Mine also located in the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
While on the Windy Hill trail I walked through a forest and the light and dark really caught me here, I just had to photograph it.
It had been a beautiful day in the northern bay on Mallorca. Far cry from the heavy downpours that we’ve had today in Cardiff. Considerably warmer there too, with having to decide which pudding (not) to have for the evening meal being the most taxing decision in the day.
With a cold front due from the arctic over the next few days I might have to try to get this as a screen saver in work ( if only!!!!)
Thanks for stopping, stay dry fellow UK’ers!
I had to go higher and higher to find virgin snow. I hate it when the snow is all tracked up by humans, but I sure love critter tracks. Stay tuned for the pine marten pic. I waited an hour for him to come out.
had a drive around locally today and it started well with the kingfisher coming in within 10 mins at lackford
We had a withered past. We had some wonderful, joyful times, we've had some dark and bitter times. You loved people very important to me, you've hurt people very important to me. Despite how things were at the end Domino.. you are a part of my life. I truly wish things could of been different but, doesn't change the fact when I was informed of your passing I was hurt. The good inside you, there was so much good underneath your hardheadedness and temper, will live on forever.
Rest in Peace, Brother.
Thank you, for the good 💖
Had a grand day with my good Friend Izzy at Gigrin, trying to capture some Kites in the light...
A very pale, Red Kite.

Had nothing to do while waiting for a car to come. It was a bit damp in the night. My wife planted this but I forget what it is. Have a very good weekend. Sunny Saturday morning here.
Mum had her work cut out keeping her large brood under control! Have a wonderful weekend everyone, whether you are spending it with family or not! :-))
“She had a flower tattoo on her wrist; "What does that mean?" he asked her.
"Absolutely nothing," she said, "it's just a flower.”

I had never seen anything like it. She said to me, “I really love this photographer.” So, I said to myself, “If I could take pictures like this guy maybe she will love me too.” So, I went out and spent all my monthly allowance on a used Leica. I actually tried to imitate the imagery of Cartier-Bresson. Of course, it didn’t work. The young female student ran off with a history professor, and I was left with Cartier-Bresson. That’s what started me off. I began to take street photographs :-)

We had a wonderful weekend at 'De Veluwe'! 2 wonderful walks in the 'Deelerwoud", unfortunataly no wildlife spotted and I think that's because the Dutch nature is so crowded at the moment due corona. Everyone wants to go outside and live! And they are right offcourse. Let's hope for better and more certain times.
