•The truth about Yosemite: www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Sexual-Harassment-Common-in...

It was a frosty morning along the Tuolumne River.

Photo taken with Nikon D600, Tokina 17-35 Pro FX F4 and Kenko Circular Polarizer. I took 9 images at one stop increments (RAW Format). To achieve this with the D600 I used auto-bracketing; it only takes 3 shot burst, so I set the 1st 3 at 3 stop increment, the 2nd 3 at 2 at stops, the 3rd 3 at 1 stop, to take a total of 9 images. I used a Nikon wireless shutter release to limit movement; I dropped it in the river that morning was lucky enough to snag it back out, shook it off and used it all day.

To achieve this dynamic range, color and effects: I use Lightroom 5.5 for workflow and final edit. I first used Photomatix Pro 4 to fuse all 9 images. Now using auto-bracketing I end up with 3 images with 0 stop adjustment because of the 3 shot burst. Photomatix will automatically adjust these to make all 9 images at whatever stop level you input, I set it for 1 stop increment. Once this is done I use Photmatix Fusion Preset to merge the 9 images together. It has many Presets, but this gives me the most natural effects. Once fused, I save in Tiff format to retain as much raw data as I can. I then use NIK Collection; Color Efex Pro 4. For this image I used its Pro Contrast adjustment; it improves the dynamic range and has one of the best Highlight and Shadow adjustments I’ve seen (even better than Lightroom’s). I do my final exposure, then tweak Clarity and Vibrance a bit in Lightroom 5.5 and save in jpg. My Logo (TI_in_Yosemite) is done in Gimp 2.8 and Layered onto the final image. TI_in_Yosemite stands for: Targeted Individual in Yosemite.

I took an oath to defend this Country and its Constitution. This Country has become not the one I once believed in. It has become a Country that Targets individuals, that go against the Statuesque of Corruption that’s imbedded in our Government, Corporations and Society. I will continue to serve this Country and expose those that threaten its moral fiber.

Help us bring Social Change through Photography; bring awareness and stop Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing. We are trying to make these changes one community at a time. So, here is a contact page for Yosemite National Park: www.nps.gov/yose/contacts.htm. Once on this page; click on ask a question or make a comment. This is your National Park please take the time to contact them; tell them to put a stop to Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing.

A late June Storm Chase with fellow chaser Myles Nelson in the Eastern Plains of Colorado. Which would eventually takes us into Kansas and back into Nebraska.

We never did catch a tornado due the RFD getting undercut. Simply meaning that it wouldn't produce just south of Yuma Colorado via Hwy 59. Once the storm became outflow dominate it was picture perfect. We had made several stops on Hwy 36 Eastbound. Beautiful structure close to Kirk Colorado and south of Wray. Pure Storm chasing eye candy!!!

Once we got into Kansas by St. Francis and Bird City we were loosing light fast but the it was picture perfect for viewing this incredible storm cell.

We had a long drive back after the last light of the day and this storm was to intensify. It did, making our trip back a little more interesting than expected. This part is not on video, but we became the hunted as this storm really intensified. There was so much lighting being fired off we could see for miles and miles as the storm was picking up steam and moving to the northeast. Relentlessly following us on our heals ever inch of the way back we were getting concerned about out safely. Once we turned east via Hwy 89 back into the southwest portion of Nebraska, we came face to face with a Tornado on the ground close to Wilsonville and another possible one north of Beaver City. That was not in the plan for that evening and it definitely got our attention.

Πολλοί άνθρωποι σε θρησκευτικούς κύκλους πιστεύουν στην προφητεία ότι ο Κύριος θα κατέβει πάνω σ’ ένα σύννεφο και Τον περιμένουν να έρθει με αυτόν τον τρόπο για να τους μεταφέρει στη βασιλεία των ουρανών, αλλά παραβλέπουν τις προφητείες της μυστικής επιστροφής του Κυρίου: «Ιδού, έρχομαι ως κλέπτης.» (Αποκάλυψη, 16:15). «Εν τω μέσω δε της νυκτός έγεινε κραυγή· Ιδού, ο νυμφίος έρχεται, εξέλθετε εις απάντησιν αυτού.» (Κατά Ματθαίον, 25:6). Πώς λοιπόν εκπληρώνονται αυτές οι προφητείες για την επιστροφή του Κυρίου; Και πώς πρέπει να φανούμε εμείς σοφές παρθένες που υποδέχονται την επιστροφή του Κυρίου;

As you might imagine, this is an area very much in need of lighthouses to protect passing ships from dangerous sandbanks, as well as ships trying to enter the River Humber, going to Hull or Goole. There has even been a lightship positioned off Spurn Head.Although we don't have any trace of it now, the earliest reference to a lighthouse here was in 1427. Records show that William Reedbarrow (a hermit) had been granted 'dues' from passing ships, in order to complete a lighthouse here.Early lighthouses were built on the 'then' end of Spurn Point (thought to be about 2 miles north of the current end). There have been 2 lighthouses at Spurn Point throughout much of history:A 'High Light' on the land 'proper'A 'Low Light' out on the sandsThe Low Light seemed to require regular re-building, but a High Light survived until John Smeaton was commissioned to build 2 new lighthouses at Spurn Point, for Trinity House.'Smeaton's High Light'Built 1776Lasted until 1895 when the current Spurn 'High Light' was built, as the foundations of Smeaton's High Light were beginning to collapseThe tower of the High Light was 112ft highThe light was visible for 12 milesSmeaton's High Light lighthouse is not still standing, but you can still see the foundations and base, very close to the current High Light lighthouseThe 'High Light'This is the 'newer' lighthouse at Spurn, based on the land 'proper' (rather than down on the sands). The lighthouse is no longer operational, and is not open to the public. The lighthouse is well worth a visit though, as you get to see the earlier Low Light lighthouse too, and experience the beauty and wilderness of Spurn Head itself... - See more at: www.yorkshire-east-coast-unofficial-guide.com/spurn_head....

With a leather black dress like this.. the age-old question is: "Should I wear black or red heels with it?" 😉

To settle this question, I put up a voting poll in my Instagram Stories.

43% liked the outfit with black heels.. but more importantly: 57% preferred the red heels. Can't say I was surprised but I still love the black heels myself. It just makes my legs look soooo long!!

This view of southern California was taken by the Apollo 7 crew during their 18th revolution of the Earth, on Oct. 12, 1968. Photographed from an altitude of 124 nautical miles, the coast of California can be seen from Point Mugu southward to Oceanside. Santa Catalina can be seen below the off shore clouds. Details of the Los Angeles area are obscured by pollution which extends from Banning westward for 100 miles to beyond Malibu. In the upper portion of the photograph can be seen (left to right) the San Joaquin Valley beyond Bakersfield, the Techachapi Mountains, the Sierra Nevada, Owens Valley, Death Valley and the Mojave Desert.

Apollo 7, which launched on Oct. 11, 1968, and was nicknamed "The Walt, Wally and Donn Show," was the first crewed Apollo mission to launch. The mission demonstrated the capabilities of the Command and Service Module, mission support facilities' performance during a crewed mission and Apollo rendezvous capability, as well as the first live TV broadcasts from space.

You can read more about my $2 Portrait Project here.

I ran into Larry today near Ellis and Larkin. He was standing out in front of his hotel where he lives when he saw me and asked if he could have a dollar to get something to eat. I told Larry about my $2 portrait project and he agreed to pose. He told me one rule though. I asked Larry what that was, and he said you gotta tell me to smile before you take the picture. Fair enough I told Larry back. Let me see that smile. And with that Larry lit up his great big smile.

I asked Larry where he was from originally and he joked back, 'originally?" he said, from inside my momma I guess. Then he chuckled at his joke and told me that he was from Oklahoma. You still got family back there I asked him. No, Larry replied back I don't have any family anymore.

I asked Larry where his favorite place he'd ever lived was and he told me Kansas City. He said he loved that they had all four distinctive seasons back there.

I asked Larry if he was working and he said he wasn't at present. He said he's been looking for work but that he hasn't been able to find any. Larry told me that he was a carpenter by training.

I took some more shots of Larry and then let him look through them on my LCD. You're a real photographer he said, that's a really good thing to be. As I was flipping through the images on my camera he stopped me and pointed to one of the images. That one he told me. That's the one. See, I told you you'd get a good photo if you asked me to smile.

With that Larry said he had to go down to the corner store to get something to eat. I thanked him for his time and he thanked me for the money and we went our separate ways.

October already.. it seems 2022 is on our doorstep and I haven't even fully processed 2020! 😮

I'm enjoying my autumn holiday now (one of the few perks I have as a teacher). And besides doing a lot of resting.. I have also been doing lots of editing of my photos and videos.

In August, I visited a castle in the south of the Netherlands. And because we had a very disappointing cold wet summer, I opted for a maxi dress.

Check out my new YouTube video and post on my blog.

It was quite magical walking around in that castle.. so beautiful!!

I know owning a castle like that is very expensive and not very practical.. but I'd love to dream. 😊

Had a fun day in Amsterdam on Sunday with Marleen .. cycling around on a rented bicycle, having drinks at various bars (including the Hilton Skylounge) and admiring Amsterdam in a different way. 😊

At the end of the day, it was getting really cold though.. and I wasn't really dressed for it. 😛 So we quickly went to a restaurant to have food.. and where I could take off the jacket for a pic of the dress. 😉

Next time, I need to film myself riding a bicycle wearing this outfit! 😛

Excerpt from www.visitourchina.com/macao/attraction/lou-lim-ieoc-garde...:

Chinese name:

Location: Estrada de Adolfo Loureiro, in northern Macau Peninsular, Macau.

Located in the middle of Macau Peninsular at the northern foot of Guia Hill, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden (in Portuguese: Jardim Lou Lim Ieoc) covers an area of 1.78 hectares with scenic landscapes. This elegant garden was modeled after Suzhou Lion Grove Garden, one of the four most famous classic gardens in Suzhou, being the only one with Suzhou classical garden style in Macau. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was once named "Entertainment Garden" and hailed as one of three famous gardens of Macau many years ago. And in 1992, it was rated as one of Macau’s eights sights. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden is a great place for sightseeing as it has quaint moon gate, shady walkways, grotesque rocks of man-made hills, bamboo groves, towering banyan tress, winding corridors, elegant pavilions, spattering waterfalls, ponds with green lotus, etc. The waterside pavilion is the centerpiece of Lou Lim leoc Garden. Despite it is a traditional Chinese architecture, some western architectural elements are embedded in, such as the external wall painted in light yellow, the favorite color of Portuguese, gothic porticoes, white European-style carvings at the top of porticoes. The barrier close to the pond is painted red, China’s favorite color. This building reflects the fusion of oriental and western cultures.

It was initially a vegetable plot and was purchased by a Macau Turpan, whose son Lou Lim leoc spent a large sum of money to convert it into a private garden. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was the largest private garden in Macau. The construction started 1904 and took 21 years to finish. The garden was changed hand due to the Lu family’s bankruptcy, until it was purchased by Macau government in 1970s. After renovation it was opened to the public in 1974. At the turn of 21st century, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was famed as the show place of Cantonese opera. Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution, once stayed in this garden to meet celebrities of China, Macau and Portugal, and revolutionists.

It's been a while! This week, I've been feeling under the weather and last one's was so busy! Feeling better now.. even though my throat is still sore. But at least, I could start working on my photos and videos today! 😊

Here's me on a sunny day wearing my favourite colour: black!! But this time, with some white stripes. Short enough to feel sexy and classy enough for a cocktail party.. or at least, that's what I keep telling myself! 😛

As you can see in the pic on the blog, my dance lessons really help! I can turn, twist and twirl in high heels without any problem now! 😃

BL20-2 No. 2121 leads a GP38 No. 3824 on the Bakersfield to Buttonwillow Branch. This is part of the San Joaquin Valley Railroad network, and the photo was taken on the C58 Rosedale Highway, opposite Brant Road.

Quite a fortuitous shot, considering the former Southern Pacific branch cannot see too much traffic these days. Whilst this is quite a short train by US standards, the sheer size of the units is well demonstrated by the "ant like" looking tanker rig on the road adjacent to the line. Wednesday 21.9.16

Canción cristiana | Amor puro y sin mancha

I

III

Dale tu familia a Dios, tu porvenir y juventud,

Dale tu familia a Dios, tu porvenir y juventud,

IV

Notes from the blog...

The nearby chapel at Gostwyck that stands at a crossroads on the property at the intersection of the axes of the avenues of grand old elm trees, all within view of the shearing shed, is also suggestive of Hunt's work. The dark brickwork, its detailing, and glazed, rich brown roof tiles of this miniature church make it look like a prototype for his work at Armidale and other places. If this tiny chapel is not Hunt’s work, then one could suggest that it has been 'after Hunt,’ or perhaps that it has followed Hunt's sources, taking inspiration from the work of Phillip Webb, Pugin, et. al. Australia might be remote, but Hunt had a standing order with a London book seller who forwarded books on order by the crate load. It has been suggested that Hunt had the best architectural library in Australia at the time. No one knows what happened to it. He died penniless. There is no reason to assume that others in the colony did not have access to the same publications, or that such sensitivities might not have been ‘in the air.’ The Reynolds, Muir and Hughes book makes no mention of this little religious building, although it does attribute the General Store at Gostwyck to Hunt - see page 151. It seems that Hunt had close ties to the Dangar family, making his involvement with these special buildings a far more likely proposition than might have been otherwise.

TANGMALANGALOO by John O'Brien

The bishop sat in lordly state and purple cap sublime,

And galvanized the old bush church at Confirmation time.

And all the kids were mustered up from fifty miles around,

With Sunday clothes, and staring eyes, and ignorance profound.

Now was it fate, or was it grace, whereby they yarded too

An overgrown two-storey lad from Tangmalangaloo?

A hefty son of virgin soil, where nature has her fling,

And grows the trefoil three feet high and mats it in the spring;

Where mighty hills uplift their heads to pierce the welkin's rim,

And trees sprout up a hundred feet before they shoot a limb;

There everything is big and grand, and men are giants too -

But Christian Knowledge wilts, alas, at Tangmalangaloo.

The bishop summed the youngsters up, as bishops only can;

He cast a searching glance around, then fixed upon his man.

But glum and dumb and undismayed through every bout he sat;

He seemed to think that he was there, but wasn't sure of that.

The bishop gave a scornful look, as bishops sometimes do,

And glared right through the pagan in from Tangmalangaloo.

"Come, tell me, boy," his lordship said in crushing tones severe,

"Come, tell me why is Christmas Day the greatest of the year?

"How is it that around the world we celebrate that day

"And send a name upon a card to those who're far away?

"Why is it wandering ones return with smiles and greetings, too?"

A squall of knowledge hit the lad from Tangmalangaloo.

He gave a lurch which set a-shake the vases on the shelf,

He knocked the benches all askew, up-ending of himself.

And so, how pleased his lordship was, and how he smiled to say,

"That's good, my boy. Come, tell me now; and what is Christmas Day?"
