At Flock we have started reading/working through Keri Smith's 'How to Be An Explorer of the World'.
Sadly, Flockmates, this is the only one I did this past week due to a myriad of factors not worth going into, but I hope this week will go better. I certainly have plenty of ideas. I've singled out pages that especially excite me with adhesive tabs. How about you?

My shoes take me everywhere I go. For the past year my shoe of choice has been Toms. They've become so mainstream, but they're so comfortable. I wore out my ash grey pair, so I bought a pair of navy ones. This is how I go.
Oh, the weekend is over. This coming week is going to be insanely busy for me. I won't be getting home until 7:00 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. and Wednesday and Friday I won't be getting home until 5:30. That means my uploads probably won't be until late at night so check the following day for new photos!
another one from last week - had played around with the contrast in photoshop. My new job has kept me busy for the past week.. didn't work Friday, but I honestly slept all day. I was so sore and tired from working five nights straight (I work overnight shift from 10pm - 6am, which involves standing on my feet for 7 hours), and have to walk home afterwards for 45 minutes... exhausted!
I hope to be able to take some photos this weekend and catch up on flickr.. My life has been working and sleeping, only 4 hours left in a day after sleep and walking dogs... which has to be spent making food, cleaning and caring for pets, getting ready for work, and if I'm lucky, I get a half hour to myself which I keep spending napping or watching a childrens cartoon.
This reminds me why I hate working... I don't have time for myself. I can't get anything accomplished on days I work.. no time to do art or writing, then on my days off I end up sleeping. (Like on Friday... I slept until 5pm, then had to go to bed at 12 so I could be up this morning to attend an event... but of course, couldn't sleep and got up at 5am and am so sore from my first week I can't get my butt off the couch!)
How do you balance work and time for yourself amongst other things? It just seems like too much. I've never known how to balance my life between the two.
At least I've lost a couple pounds this week... hahaha!

How serious she looks! Perhaps she's concerned for my safety. I took this shot backwards, over my shoulder, as I rode my bike ahead of her.
How many of you have emus at your workplace, huh? Huh?! #omfg
