“How far can your plane go, 1,2,3,4?.. Shout it Loud!!!
Airplane paper flight at WFN Airport, was tested today.
The activity was great to enhance their motor skills and cognitive skills. These skills were put to work during the airplane paper flight.
Date trees, one of the symbols of UAE was planted today in their ‘World Wanderers’ class.
The day began with hopping on numbers, shapes and phonics called out to them. That was a review for what was done during the week.
The ‘Crazy Designers’ had buildings made out of card board papers with some primary colors on their the roof. The activity was to develop their creativity and to have an idea of Primary colors.
The day ended with kids coloring and tracing straight and side lines.
The Children enjoyed hooked pocket dance, matching phonics and popping balloons in search for numbers. That was to learn the number concepts.
Tracing and UAE soveinor craft was mind refreshing.
On the whole, the kids were busy focussing on their necessary skills and has a relaxed learning this week.

How do creative professionals who are paid to think outside the box express themselves? At Corey McPherson Nash, we do it inside the box—a shallow, glass-topped, wooden box, to be exact.
14 years ago we resuscitated the quaint craft of shadow-box making and turned it into a company ritual. The rules are simple: Don't go outside the box, and don't put anything living inside the box. But the object is ambitious: to provide a hands-on tutorial in Corey McPherson Nash's organizational culture. "Our basic operating principle is to define broad goals, supply a little structure, and then give people the freedom to do creative work."
With the shadow boxes, that principle has produced wildly diverse visions. Among the completed boxes: a vivid frightscape, complete with a crank for animating dancing-devil cutouts; a meditation on "what it could have been," featuring a loose marble and a list of design possibilities; and Tom Corey's own taxonomy of "bad seeds."

I tried the how-old.net age guessing program and got some mixed results. Minifee anime stylization confuses the program to all heck. It kept guessing they are 5 or 6, which now that I think of all the children I work with, is reasonable considering the size of their eyes and round faces.
However I did get it closer to the ages I hoped for by using ¾ angles.
Aislinn is an elf so age is going to be relative anyway, and Mackenzie is 22.

The trains still run beside the river, but how long has it been since these spurs were used? A little bit of history, not completely erased yet.
This was taken as the elk was walking and is just a second or so different than the other shot I have of him. But, the tongue was different.

Polymer clay beads made by me: 3 shiny focal beads with two looks (mokume gane and texture) and some simple blue beads, just buffed.
Other materials used: wax cord, glass beads, toggle clasp.

I was testing some cameras for a magazine in Covent Garden and came across this group trying to fit into an old style London phone box.
Back in May, I bought myself new off road tires. How exciting, now I could take on new challenges.

So I went back to a spot where this off road trail runs along a wash for a tenth of a mile.
Last time I was here, the water was flowing strong and I chickened out. But now the flow was only a trickle.
Here I am halfway through, wondering if this was really such a good idea. And the worst was yet to come.
I still had to maneuver over and around a huge rock at the end of the wash. That is when I found myself wondering if I was actually stuck, not able to move forward or backward.
Eventually, however, I made it all the way through, with only some cosmetic damage to the running board on the passenger side. But hey, we can still open the doors, so no biggie.
