or, avere le ali ai piedi
so far i had published only one picture in my series about greek and latin mythology, but i have a lot of ideas that i'm going to develop in the future.
here's a modern version of god hermes's winged sandals.
i really struggled to edit this picture: i wanted to cancel the shadow, as the god was supposed to be floating in the air. it turned out harder than i expected, and i'm not very pleased with the result, but still.
the photo is also included in the series "for italians only", to depict the idiom "avere le ali ai piedi", literally "having winged feet", meaning running very fast

A number of Connexxion liveried VDL Citea's were also made available for Hermes in Veluwe Zuid. Originally they were only planned as temporary buses, but seem to have extended their stay as they are now in all over white livery with Rrreis logo's.
The Hermes is mobile command center designed by Mars Corporation for its long range missions. It can take up to six passengers in addition to the driver and the gunner. The top mounted turret also provide defensive firepower if needed.

Arguably one of the more interesting concessions at the moment is the Veluwe Zuid contract, operated by Hermes. The contract has been formed with a variety of Connexxion and Hermes buses from other concessions.
Hermes was the ancient Greek god of commerce. Notice the vaulted ceilings and artificial stars representing the heavens in his modern temple. Benevolent demigoddesses gaze down upon supplicants as they make their pilgrimage toward their chosen alters of worship.
Hermes' godly portfolio also included being a patron to thieves and leading the dead to the underworld. Seems that Greek poly-theology was onto something there with that combination.
Yes, I spent my afternoon in a mall yesterday. I bought a recent issue of Silvershotz magazine to peruse while I waited around. And a cup of tea. I hope that Hermes was at least somewhat pleased with me.

The harlots and thieves were in need of someone who could look after them. Hermes was their man. The shepherds and drifters, the actors and grifters - they were in need as well. Most all of them were on their way to someplace else, so couldn't be waylaid for long, but they all wanted something.. absolution, extra umph, a witness..
Hermes was on top of it. After all, he was Messenger of the Gods. Wings on his heels, the whole nine yards. Those came in handy early on, rustling cattle owned by his bother, Apollo. The Gods overlooked transgressions like that back then. Fact is, they needed fleet feet. They also needed someone who couldn't abide boundaries, as he'd have to pass in and out of the underworld.
Hermes fit the bill all around for gods and gypsies alike.
Tried to give a sporty look to this speed type robot runner & jumper.
Imagining this mecha dashes and jumps between future buildings and street.
Accelerates by his engines on hand, boots, and jetpack.
Good at maintain tasks such as carrying confidental data drive or rare parts.
Its speedy and lightweight design enables it to escape from most attacks.
Either blasters with heavy claws or an full accelerated kick can be an impressive weapon.
RAW conversion in Luminar. I have used Silkypix raw converter before, but I do think that Luminar can do things Fuji's converter can't.
