me: Why the hell would you do that?!?
bot: I was watching FOX News and the President said it could quickly disinfect you of the Corona virus. I'm helping.

Yesterday was my birthday, some might say a milestone one but to me, age is just a number and what really matters is how young you feel, how many memories you fit into each day and how much good you can put into the world.
Thank you all for helping make this last year one of the best ever.
18-year-old Jabbar received one of the biggest operations we performed on the trip. Jabbar suffered an accidental burn from a coal iron. His brother told us about the medical care he received at the government hospital. Although the hospital might have saved Jabbar's life at the time of his burn, they did not do anything to save the function in his arm and neck with appropriate post-burn care. The surgery provided by ReSurge will restore function in his arm and neck as long as he continues physical therapy on his own.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and creative 2024! Also.. laughter, light/light hearts, love and this tiny, tiny wish for world peace. And chocolate. XOX

Favorite road trip moment: making sure this little redbelly got across the road safely. 😍 Was I squealing with delight? Oh yes!!
My first attempt at focus stacking
I've had this "contraption" since I was a kid, but since I broke my neck in 2012 my own hands are mostly paralyzed. So now I rely on this to be my hands for me.
This was a stack of just 16 shots, I think I could have done with some more because there are a few weird bits, never mind, I'll know better next time.

During a Intermountain NRHS outing during the late 1960s, some extra assistance was needed. Although the occasion is unknown, UP GP40 843 couples onto the rear of ex-CB&Q Business Car 96. Under the watchful view of the crew and several passengers, there were enough eyes to make sure the coupling went smooth.

A person told me that she had no reason why she wanted to be friends with me but she just wanted to. I didn't get it at first, but now it's clear. Life is a stream, you hurt, you forgive, and you move on, you appreciate, and you heal. You can never go upstream only down it.
Upon seeing her mother fetching a pail of water from a well via a water pump, a little girl immediately steps towards the pump while the former is still at their kitchen and with both of her hands, she alternately pushes up and pulls down its handle as she tries to fill up a big plastic container.

Warm evening light bathes a sculpture of giant hands on the 14th Century walls of the Ca’Sagredo Hotel on the Grand Canal, Venice.
The art installation, called 'Support' and created by artist Lorenzo Quinn, the son of actor Antony Quinn, was a pair of 5,000-pound white hands, complete with creases and fingernails. The hands appeared to prop up the historic hotel from falling into the water.
We were lucky to see it as the hands were erected in 2017 and removed in early 2018.
