I'm still at Jabba's Palace. It seems that Han Solo is carbonized again (how many times he can survive from it is a question I would like to know answer someday). Boushh is still negotiating with Bib and Jabba, but but for some reason Bib's face alone tell you that the negotiations is not doing very well. However, Chewbacca carries a secret weapon, a frying pan! Perhaps he intends to offer to cook a fried frogs for Jabba, so that he would release Han finally for freedom.
This is an oldie from my stream. I just started to play another day with this scene and it started to look interesting again. I find it very interesting to look back and compare this one to the first version I did over a year ago.

Recreate the daring rescue by Luke, Han and Chewie to free the imprisoned Princess from A New Hope with my new LEGO brick diorama.
The model includes 2084 pieces and features a hidden mechanism that allows the prison cell door to be removed. An all-black frame makes for a premium display.
Since I first released my v1 Detention Block model almost three years ago, it was time for a fresh and even more detailed update in line with my build-to-display diorama collection. This new diorama shares about 70% of the parts with the previous version.

As the Christmas was knocking on the door, Boba Fett was not happy. He's been dreaming to own the carbonized Han Solo for years. It seems like Jabba have sold it to a one of the galaxy's grocery stores for a big money. This specific store owner wants to grow his business by special marketing. What Boba didn't realized, you can only own it by entering to a special lottery. The chance of winning the jackpot is approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one... oh, dear!
Happy Holidays!
All kidding aside, I'm dying to learn more about Ben Solo and his fall to the Dark Side (spoilers! Ooops!)
Princess Leia is once again imprisoned ... eeh, I meant that she was imprisoned just a few moments ago. Not even his brother did not have time to save her this time, because she has just found the gun, which she hid the last time she was here. In fact, Han Solo did something for the electronics just a seconds before the cell door opened. I'm sure that they are made for each other! <3
Anyway, everything looks good. Darth Vader is not breathing on their necks, although I'm sure he senses the disturbance in the Force right now. You know him and his Force thing!
And again, I dug treasures from the archives. Well, maybe the word treasure is too much in this case, but you know what I mean ... You decide! For some strange reason, this photo and the whole color scheme reminds me of the old game called Space Quest by Sierra. Some of you may remember that Space Quest was a series of six comedic science fiction computer graphic adventure games released between 1986 and 1995. The games parodied science fiction properties such as Star Wars and Star Trek. And my memory recall only the first classic pixelated versions. They were the best! What you see here is what you get… err, I mean everything is all in-camera.
You could argue a lot about it, but I think the new Disney movie turned out quite good, except of some points like this ugly monster in the end [...]. But the Corellia scenes were really striking in my view, especially the blue filtered ones.

Hey there! I actually found some time to build something. As I am busy with university and moving to another city in some months, there are maybe just some little table scraps following in the next weeks before my bricks are going to be stored in the cellar... but, you know, better than nothing.
I was lurking in the shadows of Jabba's Palace. I was there for some photos of Han in carbonite, but all of a sudden heard steps. It was Bousshh moving like a cat burglar and I instantly grabbed my camera and got this shot of him coming towards me. He was gone in seconds...
Things look bleak for Han Solo! Darth Vader wishes to freeze Luke Skywalker in carbonite to take to the Emporer. First he has decided to test it on Han Solo, much to Leia and Chewbacca's horror.

I cannot claim credit for coming up with this idea. The cosplayers were already posed in these positions when I walked by but I *got* what they were trying to accomplish: using the pillars and lights to look like they were on display.
Not the first time I've seen cosplayers look like they were part of a display or collection (the Shatner/Star Trek and Barbie cosplayers in their toy boxes comes to mind) but the first time I've seen someone use this location for this purpose.
UPDATE: I was totally surprised to find that this image make it on to Flickr's Explore page (No. 425 out of 500). A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who commented and liked my image!!
Just a nice little build to make the most of Baby Greedo for the Imperial March Baby Builds.

And here is at last Han Solo from the Mos Eisley Cantina set. This may not be as scum and villany like the rest of the series so far, as my intention was to present the Han as one of the superheroes.
Who is the man in the shadows, approaching Bossk and Boba? Is he come to a negotiate a deal of lifetime with the bounty hunters? All this (and more!) is already answered here!
This is an alternative version of a Bossk + Boba frame titled as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly I did a few months ago. Personally I really dig this frame, it's all in-camera (except the coloring). I'd just love the continue within this series, even tho, this is an oldie.
Han Solo frozen in Carbonite. This scene appeared in the second and third Star Wars films., (episodes 5 & 6), The title is his reply when princess Leia tells him she loved him.
In reality, this is a latex ice cube mold which had spent the day in the freezer in preparation for the photo shoot, sadly, no matter how quickly I tried to take the shot the melting process had already dissipated the frost build up. The Mold is 2.25 inches x 1 inch and is 1 of 9 in the tray.

One of my favourites, I messed around with their positions for ages before being happy with this shot!
Han and Leia's relationship represents a powerful and enduring love story within the Star Wars universe, forged in the heat of battle and tested by hardship.
Their relationship is noted for its equality, with both Han and Leia respecting each other's talents and relying on one another, a key aspect of their connection.

Taking custody of Han
In addition to making truffle balls with my seized chocolate I pressed some into my custom Han Solo in Carbonite candy mold that I made. Since the chocolate wasn't liquid it didn't fill all the spaces of the mold.

well well well, another star wars build what a shocker, not quite the same as the scene at the end of episode iv but it captures the feel i was looking for.

They should never let Chewie land the Falcon, it's always hairy.
I am posting this because of today's rumours regarding the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII movie. It's only rumours but still, this may be a spoiler, be warned.
I will only say the rumors claim there will be a scene in a snowy forest location with the Millennium Falcon and some other things. Without further speculation, I thought I'd post this photo from April 2013 as a "throwback thursday" post. A version of this can be seen in my Instagram feed but it's a different crop and heavily filtered.
I am trying to shy away from Star Wars VII rumours these days, but couldn't avoid this one. That said, if this one's legit, hey, I'm with you J.J. :D
In an alternate dimension.
All 8 Dejarik monsters seen in Episodes 4 and 7 are represented here, from left to right: Grimtaash the Molator, the K'lor'slug, the Ghhhk, the Kintan Strider, the Mantellian Savrip, the Houjix, the Monnok, and the Ng'ok.
I began designing this halfway through September for The Brothers Brick's Falcon contest, and have been building it relentlessly for the last five days. My original contest idea was to do the original Colin Cantwell Falcon concept (which Ralph McQuarrie would include in some of his early conceptual paintings), but decided against it because it is essentially the Tantive IV with a different bridge section. I came up with this idea shortly after and liked it better.
I used Ep 4, 5, and 7 as reference for the interior (the Ep 7 interior has some differences, like the floor grid being a totally different pattern, and the wall "sconces" having circular edges rather than square ones). I also used stills and fan-made CGI recreations. Even though the cast of characters is turned upside down, the environment around them is unchanged from Episode 4. The floor patterns, some of the wall details, even down to the crates next to the booth are left as-is from how they are in the first film.
As for the creatures, choosing colors was hard. The holographic look of the game pieces messes with what the creature's real colors should be. Reference material is pretty limited, and can be inconsistent for both color and shape. Phil Tippett's interview with Tested about the redone Ep. 7 monsters was an invaluable resource to see up-close views of these creatures directly from the man who made them both times.
The Tydirium is a Sienar Fleet Systems Imperial Lambda-class t-4a shuttle. It boasts deflector shields with a 200 SBD rating, and a hull rating of 66. It requires a crew of four to operate and could have twenty passengers.
It is again a poster you might say, but what else can I do when all my toys are spread out on the floor for that purpose only. Nothing else.
All this is in-camera, minus the text at the bottom and color correction. There were no Ps trickeries used for making of this poster.
