Alison took this group shot after our trek for the Bristle-thighed Curlew which we saw nicely! One flushed and flew right over us many times. That's the look you want - flight - for this species. I was trailing in the line. I timed it. Six minutes after I stepped off the road, there was the bird. That was nice! Two participants couldn't make the trek - hard walking - so they got to see it from the road. That was really nice!
Our two leaders - George Armistead in the back on the left and Dave Stejskal - the tall guy in the back in the middle - are two of the best. I have traveled with them before and will again in the future. Thanks for a great trip you two!

It was a great trip that I would highly recommend to anyone! I am looking forward to a return trip and hitting Gambel and the Pribolof's.
